“Great hotel, quite a walk from the town, pier (8 mins)”

Ideal location if you want away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Perfect for older couples, right on the sea front, lovely scenery.

“nice hotel”

We stayed at the suncliff for our 1st wedding anniversary, the hotel was very nice, oldish but modernising, its ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the beach and the town. The vast majority of staff very welcoming and helpful. Room small but very clean and nicely decorated with everything you would need in there. The only downside for us were the bed wasnt particularly comfortable (hard) and wafer thin pillows :o)

“Good value for money”

The room we were given was small and in need of decoration as there was wallpaper peeling away and in places torn off. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good so in all good value for money.

we had a very pleasant stay at the Suncliff. We had a very nice modern ,clean room. The bed was rather bumpy and would do with replacing.We enjoyed very good freshly cooked and well presented breakfast and found the staff to be very helpful and polite.We would happily return.

rooms nice and looked recently decorated. good views of the sea from balcony. breakfast could do with bit of improvement. but overall great value hotel.

Booked the Suncliff Hotel but we were moved next door to the Cumberland which we were very pleased with. We were able to use the indoor pool of the Suncliff.

“Comfortable base for two nights”

The hotel is in the process of some refurbishment and many parts still appear dated and in need of renovation. However, our room and the bed in particular was comfortable and the only problem was the lack of power from the hot shower and trying to find our way around the numerous stairs to the 4th floor when the lift was busy! The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. When I explained that I did not require a full English breakfast I was able to pay less and help myself to the cold buffet breakfast which was reasonable. The hotel facilities included a warm pool and jacuzzi as well as a sauna. Although the hotel needs updating it provided us with a comfortable base for two nights at a very reasonable price!

“I'd choose it again”

Service and food excellent. Entertainment added bobus. Leisure facilties were disappointing, jacuzzi closed, sauna not on one day, swimming pool could do with a steam clean and pool complex needs attention. The Hotel was clean and the staff faultless. However I think it would benefit from brightening up although clean the colour scheme made it dark. Overall good value.
