A really friendly, cozy pubPosted Oct 7, 2014
We had an excellent stay at the Fox Inn. The pub is really cozy and friendly and in a beautiful location. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast the next day was lovely. Exceptional value and we will definitely be returning!

A friendly middle of nowherePosted Sep 18, 2014
Our sat nav gave out 3 miles from the hotel and we were on a single track road in the dark in the middle of nowhere. Eventually found the Fox inn as if it were an oasis and loved it. Very friendly and welcoming but a real black spot for internet and mobile phones so be prepared to talk to each other and co guests and remember what it was like in the 1990s pre world wide web and mobiles.

Nice building with history, not easy to find.Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Countryside location.
Cons: We had a large bedroom, but no easy chairs. Some of the staff need to smile more.
Location: Access dificult but once on to main roads, location is central for Dorchester, Sherbourne, Swanage Weymouth, Athelhampton House and Hardy's Cottage.
Bit pricey for what is essentially a pub. Breakfast choice was indifferent, with no prunes or grapefruit segments, sometimes yogurt available but not every morning. Not everyone wants full english! Although payable extra, evening dinner choice was good at sensible prices. Proprieters were friendly and helpful.

what a great place to stay. We only stayed overnight on our way back but what a find. Very clean and well decorated room. Good bar food. Great breakfast. great outside garden area which gets the sun till late evening. Do not expect to get much of a phone signal as this is in the middle of no where but near enough to many places to use as a base. Wil stay again when in the area
