“Great for romantic short break with pregnant wife!”

My wife (38 weeks pregnant) and I just spent 3 nights at the GHH. We were very impressed with the quality of our experience. The staff, were welcoming and friendly. Lizzie who completed our check-in took us up to our room, kindly helped us with our luggage, and explained everything we'd need. Later when we requested special teas, the manager himself delivered us a large variety. The bed was fantastic, the linen top quality - everything in the room presented perfectly. We had requested the horse chestnut room - the biggest room in the hotel - and appreciated the extra sofa and space. The roll top bath was brilliant. One small quibble was that we expected to find a fridge in our room and didn't. The breakfast was pretty good. We heard some talking through the walls, but not anything disturbing. Go for a room on the third floor - we got the impression it was the quietest, and we could see the sea from our window. All in all, we would definitely come back!

“Good but not Great”

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Our room needed a comfortable chair to sit on. There was only one at the desk. A little overkill on the environmental stuff. Too much fragrance in the cleaning materials. Might be better to give a few instructions on how to use tea kettle. And there was no computer for traveling guests.
