“Lovely, Family friendly, would love to visit again!”
It's a lovely B & B, run by a lovely family. The breakfast was lovely and well cooked. The rooms and bathrooms were fantastic...not a dust or bit of mould in sight. Very clean and well presented. It was only 10 min walk from the beach. Peace on earth. Good value for money.
“Lovely b&b”
Lovely place to stay with a family, great hosts, beautiful location. Thank you!
“A Lovely Stay”
We had a wonderful stay at Thanet House - the welcome was warm and nothing was too much trouble. We were particularly pleased with the family room - the kids loved having their own little area with their own t.v. The rooms were clean and bright. The walk down to the sea was actually a pleasant surprise and the beach was so clean and sandy. The kids loved the beach and the park. The breakfasts were yummy and again were a hit with the kids. All round a great B & B and we would definitely stay there again.
“Thanks Thanet!”
We booked the family room at Thanet House for one night. We received a warm welcome from owners Anna and Andy, who told us everything we needed to know to make the most of our stay in Bournemouth. Our room was beautifully furnished, with a light, airy and luxiourious feel. It was immaculately clean, as was the ensuite bathroom. Having resigned ourselves to the idea of going to bed at the same time as our 3 year old, we were really pleased when Andy revealed a little bedroom off the main room containing a single bed and a cot bed. Hooray! Separate sleeping quarters for Amy! There was even a night light provided, which is typical of the attention to detail that marked our stay at Thanet House. Breakfast was delicious and the guesthouse is a short, scenic stroll down a footpath to a very pleasant stretch of the beach. We are very happy customers and would like to return to Thanet House for a longer stay some time.
“Fab place, definately make a visit.”
We had a very welcoming stay from the owners and all of the staff who served us. Our room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable, although the bed a bit on the hard side, I would just say that the shower room might be a bit small for some people. There was a good selection of breakfasts to choose from and the coffees were the best i have had in along time, i've not had that quality of coffee since travelling in Australia about 15 years ago.
“Excellent Guest House”
An excellent guest house and Anna and Andy made us feel very welcome. Perfect location between Bournemouth and Poole. Only 10 mins walk from beach. We will book again
“Good value hotel in excellent West Cliff location”
Excellent friendly welcome (despite late arrival) and was shown to room. Comfortable single room with widescreen freeview tv. Excellent full English breakfast. The only gripe I have is what they described as " private bathroom" isn't actually en-suite and is actually across a hallway. Only a wash-basin in the room.
“Pleasant night stay”
Helpful friendly staff. Clean, well maintained and homely.
“The Living Room at a glance”
as usual room was very clean , but one thing changed and cleanness of dishes and quality of breakfast, and its due to change of the menu and chef. It used to be far better and cleaner, the rest of features were very good.
“A small friendly hotel”
We had an excellent & friendly welcome by the owner & her 3 year old daughter. The bedroom was adequate but small but the bathroom was very small. The shower cubicle was tiny. The bathroom radiator didn't work & wasn't fixed even after being pointed out. We stayed over a weekend but found out on the Monday morning from the noise outside that an extension was being built, so it wouldn't have been a great room to relax in during the day. The B&B is in a very convenient location for access to Alum Chine 50 yards away & the centre of Westbourne (with a good choce of eating places) 10 minutes walk away. The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice.
