Relaxed, welcoming B&B close to the coastPosted Mar 10, 2015
Jolly room, great shower and lovely breakfast - just what we were looking for. Good location, close to beach and Alum Chine, and to restaurants - great veggie eatery nearby. Felt like we'd had a real break

Beautiful B&B in WestbournePosted Feb 9, 2015
I chose the Living Room because I liked what I saw on the photos - and it exceeded expectations. It's a beautifully decorated house with an informal "shabby chic" style coffee shop. I loved the informal atmosphere, the quality of the decor and the breakfast menu. The only reason that it didn't get top marks is that my room - in a top corner of the house - was chilly on arrival. However, there is a powerful radiator and it was very cosy on my second night. I will definitely stay there as a first choice in future and recommend it without hesitation.

A nice place to stay.Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: I liked the home from home relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: This is not a modern luxury hotel, although it is well maintained, and this does in some ways add to the rustic and eclectic charm of the hotel.
Location: A very easy 10 minuet walk to the town of Westbourne. Good bus services and within easy reach of Bournemouth and the coast.
Greeted by a friendly smiling face on arrival, shown where everything was and even shown where we could get some fresh milk and filtered water in the kitchen if we needed it and then escorted to our room. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Everything you could possibly want including free wifi access (although we did not use it on this occasion). The room was comfortable and clean, with onsuit shower and toilet, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, hair dryer and a nice free-view TV. Breakfast was excellent with tea, coffee, fruit juice and everything you would want from just cereal, toast or eggs through to a full English, which I had, and this was really nicely prepared and presented. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. All in all a really nice stay. Would certainly stay here again if the need arises.

Oh my goodness. This was an amazing find. Cute but funky. The homemade brownies, the extensive breakfast and friendly staff made it a great experience. Liked the flamingo room!

Warm welcome, lovely food, and superb locationPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The individual character of the hotel, this is no faceless chain. The staff really interact with the guests, and the breakfasts are a treat.
Cons: I can imagine that in the height of summer, car parking may be at a premium, but we experienced no problems parking at the hotel.
Location: Westbourne is a short stroll away and is ideal for eating out in the evenings. Brownsea Island with the red squirrels is simply enchanting.
We had an excellent stay in a very comfortable snug room, really bright with two windows. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. The breakfast was superb with some unusual but very tasty alternatives to the standard English breakfast, such as corn fritters or pancakes , all freshly cooked. The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach or a stroll to the numerous restaurants in Westbourne, catering for all tastes. We shall definitely be coming back.
