For a guy that always stays at the 5 star hotels, staying at the Ibis was a decision based on location and convenience. Going in I knew I wouldn’t have all the usual amenities, man I was wrong. I was there for work and figured I would spend as little time in the room. I shipped 200 pounds worth of goods ahead of my arrival to the hotel for my work, Fabio at the front desk received them for me , accepted them and even took them to my room. He was the most helpful hotel staff I have ever met in my 17 years of traveling for work. This guy gets it, he takes the Ibis hotel and elevates it. Always courteous and ready to help, when I’m in Dortmund again I will definitely stay at the ibis. It’s my German home. Fabio if you read this, keep up the great attitude, I wish you much success.

The room is okay, not very clean though. The walls and door are extremely thin so that one hears everything of what is happening in the hall.

If you need a cheap place to stay
This is a no frills hotel. If you just need a place to lay your head then this will work. Rooms were sized ok and bathroom was tiny. Parking is very tight in a supermarket parking lot. Breakfast was eh but cant beat free breakfast. Not the place to stay for a vacation but if you need a place just for a night it will work.

Easy to get to under ground parking and air conditioned very basic snacks available but the local area is serviced well with restaurants some within walking distance. There’s a “local boozer” very close which is a truly unique experience it plays deaf metal quietly in the back ground odd but the beers good

Would definitely recommend!
Great location. Only a 15 minute walk into centre. Free parking at the hotel. Supermarket right next door. No tea/coffee making facilities would be the only negative for us.

Spurs won in Dortmund
A thoroughly pleasant place to stay. Location is great (15 minute walk to the city centre), the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfy. Would highly recommend.

BVB!
We booked this hotel to stay in whilst we visited Dortmund to watch BVB, overall a decent hotel - we paid approx. £30 per person per night and I think we got very good value. The staff are friendly and the bar is stocked with local beer. It was only two stops on the tube to the stadium and two stops the other way to the city centre, good location.

Nice hotel.
This hotel was very nice. The hotel staff were very helpful. we booked three double rooms but we needed one of them to change to a twin we could not get this on-line when we book it. but once we arrived the hotel was very good and change one of the double rooms to a twin with no problem. The breakfast was nice and the restaurant was very clean. we came back in the evening and had a few drinks in the bar. The hotel staff helped us find places in Dortmund and the way to get there. I would happily come back here again and would recommended for anybody that wanted to be a little way out of Dortmund city centre as it was only three stops on the underground.

Good hotel, good location
This is a basic hotel in a good location only like 15 minutes away from the city center. It also has a supermarket right next door to the entrance. Parking is free. Cons: there is a 6 EUR city tax that is not included in price although Expedia stated that price includes all taxes. Room is kinda small. If you get a twin room, the beds will have no space between them and you can't take them apart because there's no space in the room. Overall, pretty good hotel if you only stay for a short period of time.

Great hotel.
Great hotel in Dortmund, comfortable nights sleep. The really big shopping centra is close by as well. The staff were very helpful and their customer service was fantastic.

Très bon hôtel. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Le bar ouvert 24/24 est un gros plus surtout qu’il propose boissons et snacks même tard le soir. Personnel souriant et très agréable. Nous reviendrons sûrement.

Das Hotel liegt zentral. Sowohl die Stadt als auch der Westfalenpark sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Das Bad zwar sehr klein aber alles da was man brauchte und sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Da das Hotel neu umgestaltet wurde, ist es freundlicher im Empfang und Frühstücksraum geworden. Die Zimmer sind moderner eingerichtet nicht pompös aber Zweckmäßig.
