“Great place to stay!!”
This hotel is extremely nice and was very close to the area we needed to stay. Very courteous staff.
“next to the park”
It was a nice place to stay. there is a train that goes by but you hardly notice. No one was at the desk but there is a bell for service. They have a very small place to make waffles, get juice and coffee in the morning. There is a very small pool. The bad thing is thats its in front of the hotel. Weird!
“dont stay here”
The only good thing about this hotel is that it is in walking distance to kings dominion. It smelled bad, the hotel staff was unfriendly and not helpful. Our toilet stopped up in the middle of the night and nobody came to the desk after ringing the bell 7 times. We had to ask for more towels and they gave us a hard time before finally fulfilling our request.
“Nice to stay for a brief visit”
The train rides the whole night very very close to my room so kept waking up the whole night!
“Kings Dominion Days Inn”
This involved a 2-night stay in May 2010. Even though the hotel is conveniently located across the street from Kings Dominion, an active railroad track runs along the back of the hotel about 30 feet from the windows (at least two trains per night). Also, we were placed in a room directly adjacent to the elevator motors which shook the wall every time either elevator was used. When I requested to be moved I was informed, that no other rooms were available, but decided to continue my stay because the Manager provided repeated assurance that we would be moved to a quieter room for the second night. This repeated assurance was again provided by the Manager the next morning as we headed to Kings Dominion and that he would personally take care of the move. Upon returning later that day, not only was another room not set aside for us, but we were again told that no other rooms were available. The Manager was nowhere to be seen. In effect, we were manipulated (some might say, lied to) and the room they originally placed us in should never have been configured (via hotel design) for guests.
