"My surname is Maureen Allemann (correct spelling)."
This boutique hotel should be 5 star. It has it all, olde world charm, yet is modern, a good mix. It is a warm, friendly place to stay and i was made feel very special, like one of the family. It is classy, classical, elegant and beautifully furnished. The atrium is inviting and a lovely place to sit with friends or by onself, meditative environment. The plantation shutters, type of woodwork outside the rooms are very attractive. My entire Double Bay experiences two, one being five days and the second one night inc a day and morning, were magical as I had this oasis of beauty to return to after a day away from there, visiting a rather decling beautiful mother, with other members of family. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place to relax be spoilt, and the beautiful double bay village on it's doorstep. With glowing lights at night time. I felt very safe on my own, at Sayoy and in D.Bay. Again, the staff are wonderful, warm, friendly and welcoming in every aspect. Markets on Thurs looked inviting, I was off somewhere else each day so missed them.I enjoyed a divine Thai Massage in Goldman place, it was raining heavily, i took refuge under the canopy, I was outside on my mobile chatting for a long time, unable to sit on the seats outside, due to the heavy rain, i was offered a stool by the lovely 'up market' ice cream gentleman across from Thai Msg place. I did thank him and spoke w/him after, I will return to Savoy and also enjoy one of his delightful icecreams!
