Beautiful estate home converted into a hotel. Had a lovely overnight stay. Their restaurant is fabulous. Room was very comfortable. Since we were here in the Fall, the hotel was very quiet. Only a few guests. Service was excellent.

Too cold to use pool but wonderful to walk the grounds and around town. Staff are so helpful and kind. Especially a shout out to David who treated us very well.

David at checking was very helpful & spoke good English. Explained a bit of the history of the area from Roman times. Great bar / restaurant in the hotel.

No heat in our room. Got moved to a new room, but not very good there, either. Manager was very helpful with tourism info. Breakfast okay, not great.

Lovely Historic Hotel
Large rooms with comfortable beds. Lovely grounds and gathering spaces. Our one dinner there was excellent. Complimentary breakfast very good. Beautiful drive to hotel with amazing views.

We had a pleasant stay in lovely location. The hotel was very good but the garden, swimming pool and grounds need a lot of work done.

Quiet pousada in the middle of Alijo
This is a very comfortable hotel with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. I would recommend it to explore that area of Portugsl.

Hôtel à fuir.Le bâtiment contrairement aux autres pousadas n'a aucun intérêt, ni pour la localisation ni pour sa dimension historique. Si par malheur vous séjournez un samedi soir, fort risque que l'hôtel soit réservé pour une réception de mariage : espaces communs totalement privatisés, bruit très tard dans la soirée... Un cauchemar !!!

Très bonne adresse, chambre jolie et confortable, très bon restaurant (service et qualité de la cuisine) Certaines parties extérieures auraient besoin d'être rénovées et le petit déjeuner est un peu décevant mais cela reste une très bonne adresse

Fint hotell sentralt i Douro-dalen.
Vi bodde der med med to voksne barn i to døgn. Utmerket hotell som svarte til forventningene om å være av høy klasse. Eneste minus var elendig wifi. Forøvrig god service. Pent oppussede lokaliteter både på rommene og i fellesarealene. Anbefales. Men bør ha bil for å komme rundt i den flotte dalen.

Hotellet har en lite äldre stil men inte alls sliten. Vi hade valt ett "paket" där middag ingick. Maten var mycket god och servicen perfekt. På det hela taget en trevlig vistelse!

Hotel propre, un peut deçu rapport qualité prix Hotel plutot classique, agréable , petit déjeuné tres correct (fruit frais, ptit dej continental) Tres bonne table mais plutot chere pour ce qui ce fait dans les environ proche.

l'amabilité de l'accueil laisse à désirer.l'environnement de l'hotel est médiocre et nous n'avons pas regrétté de n'y séjourner qu'une nuit.un bon point pour la qualité du restaurant,malgré des tarifs un peu élévés pour la prestation offerte.les chambres sont correctes.
