There was a lacrosse team staying there with you girls. They ran through the halls screaming. Payed on the elevators to the point you had trouble accessing them, and were extremely mouthy and disrespectful when asked to calm down and where their parents were. I called the front desk asking them to come up and say something yet no one ever came. It went until late that night and they resumed that behavior early the next morning. I got very little sleep and was very upset I used $250 to stay there. While I understand the common areas, they should not have been allowed to do that in the room hallways. Your staff had a responsibility to allow them to enjoy their stay, but equally your staff had a responsibility to the rest of us staying there. In the future I will be staying at the Hampton Inn down the street as I normally do, I just thought I would try the Hilton Garden. Huge mistake.

I am truly sorry you experienced these noise issues. While we cannot always control the actions of others, we do attempt to control unruly situations as best as possible. When parents aren't being responsible and allow their children to run on their own, it is difficult to find the correct authority figures. We were walking the halls and did ask several parents in our Lounge that evening to please go upstairs. This was a very large tournament at the local fields. I personally spoke with other GM's who expressed similar concerns. It was not unique to our hotel. These comments are passed along to the Event Coordinators, and we will not be rebooking this particular group again.

I very sorry you did not care for the pillows. I know when I travel, it's never the same as I'm used to at home. We do check our pillows on a regular basis and replace as necessary. I will be sure to follow up with Housekeeping to ensure this procedure is being followed.

HGI as a Brand does not offer a complimentary breakfast. However, for just 10, our Cold Continental includes fresh baked pastries, cereal, juice, bagels, toast, flavorful breakfast breads, fresh fruit and yogurt. That's several items at a reasonable price, as you may also return to the buffet as often as you wish.

I stayed for 2 nights. The staff was very friendly & I did like that the hotel allows pets. I needed an extra set of sheets and they were brought up to my room quickly. They charge $10 per person extra for breakfast which I thought should’ve been included considering I paid $600 already. The pool isn’t that big & isn’t heated and the hot tub wasn’t working. On Sunday the fire alarm went off so everyone had to wait outside until the fire department came & they brought some bottles of water because it was really hot out. It was a false alarm & everyone was allowed to go back to their rooms, but then it went off a second time and the fire department had to come back again. They did let me go back up to the room for an extra hour to finish getting ready

Not all hotel brands provide a complimentary breakfast. However, compared to other hotels properties in Dover, we provide far greater choices and cooked-to-order options. Their complimentary breakfast is all frozen products that are reheated. For only 16.00, you can have a hot, cooked-to-order meal, full Continental options, plus juice and coffee. That’s a great value and an amenity no other hotel in Dover offers. At Bob Evans next door, a 3-egg omelet, coffee, and juice totals 18.57. Unfortunately, our hot tub is now permanently closed due to an unrepairable issue. We will be filling it in in the near future. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

I am truly sorry we had to relocate your reservation to another property. This is something we diligently try not to do and NEVER make a habit of overbooking our hotel. Unfortunately, we had some rooms already checked in that had to extend due to an emergency. We did locate you at our expense and ensured Expedia fully refunded you for your stay. The property itself was very nice. Super clean. The only small issue we had was confusion over breakfast. It was hard to tell which type of breakfast was which. And we didn't realize breakfast wasn't free. But everything else was great

The staff was so professional and friendly. Only negative was the family above our room must have let the kids jump on and off the beds. It was so loud. Room was comfortable overall.

Felt like home!
We didn’t arrive until 1:15 am. We walked up to the counter and we were greeted and welcomed for staying here. Our clerk was fabulous! The room was great! Comfortable beds, and no noise! Slept like champs! We will definitely stay here again!

I requested late check out due to being out of state for a youth football tournament. I had to beg for it. Only to give me 1 hour which 12. I explained we had another game at 4pm we were unaware. We had no extra money to spend. After explaining that the front desk clerk says he could extend the few extra hours for $80. You will take money if I had it to let me stay but won’t extend a courtesy of letting us check out around 1 or 2 pm knowing the circumstances. The weather was terrible, cold and raining. Just poor service. You care more about the money than the well being of your guest.

Thank you for your feedback. That weekend was especially difficult in our hotel with several guest complaints and property damage caused by the youth teams here. We were addressing them as quickly as possible while trying to meet the needs of arriving guests. Like most hotels, we do not have the ability to run additional staff later to clean rooms. We had allowed a few rooms to extend, but then reached our limit for late departure without a fee. We do try very hard to accommodate requests, but having people call and want their rooms back for a few hours, after they had already checked out and left the building, could not be accommodated.
