“Saturday night stay at Holiday Inn (not the Express)”

We've tried this Holiday Inn before approximately 1 year ago. At that time, it was a mess and off our radar. Not readily remembering that stay, I made another based on the photos on Expedia. The room is decently appointed, but lighting (the new curly cue ones) are way way too dim. The room is not well illuminated even when they are all on. The placement of the refridgerator and microwave oven atop it next to the bed sure makes things convenient, but really, how many people sleep in their kitchen!? There was a lot of trash inside the backside doorway. The hallway carpeting is stained, smelly and in need of a good vacuuming. The reception on our TV though satelite was very grainly, like a bad cell phone camera. This was on all channels. The air conditioner needs work. It was off when we got there and for a good reason we later found - too noisy. I cannot recommend this Holiday Inn which is a shame, because I like the chain. I would not stay there again.

“Love it!”

Hotel/Inn was nice, comfortable, clean; people were friendly, can't wait to go back.

Area recommendations
Dover, 45 minutes from delaware beaches, and fun at dover downs casino.
