The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Front desk personnel was friendly and checked us in immediately. Would stay there again.

“part 1”

Other than a problem getting towels swapped out (clean for dirty - delivered within minutes of my request) our stay here served our purposes. Very responsive staff when I needed something or had a question. Unfortunately, they have removed all their adjoining rooms during a recent remodel, but the new bathrooms are very nice.

The room was great. This is a great location many stores. The staff was very Nice.

Irene was on its way and a coastal evacuation looked imminent, so we booked here. It's quite pleasant, two floors and three wings surrounding a courtyard with lots of plants, friendly owners and staff. Our room and the adjoining one (1st floor) developed a problem with a water leak in the ceiling by the door; I suspect it was the condensate drain from the AC unit on the second floor, and maintenance made it magically stop in any case within a couple hours. If you need a place to rest your head, you'll be OK here. Nice free breakfast too.

“Pleasantly surprised!”

We wwere lucky to find a room in Dover that weekend - so many things going on and we only wanted a room for Friday night. We knew it was not a new modern hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. Room and bathroom were clean. Continental breakfast was good. The front desk staff did an excellent job.

I stayed there for a week. Good: It was pretty cheap. It was liveable. It's close to stuff. (despite that there isn't really anything in Delaware anyway...) It was actually clean. (room reeked of cleaner my first day though) Staff was friendly. Basic cable. Bad: The staff are a little hard to deal with on phone. The lobby smells like an old folks home. A footstool for the chair in the room was broken. The previous remote was not there so I had to ask for it. The TV didn't have A/V ports. Dover is a bit of a ghetto. No microwave. There are volunteer firefighters there I guess, so a fire alarm will probably happen, but it's not for there. It only happened once my entire stay there to my knowledge.

Rooms were clean, hotel well kept overall. There was a problem with some of the electric in my room, but it was worked on. Staff was friendly, and very helpful. This was our first experience with a Super 8, and it had more ammenities than a more upscale hotel we recently stayed in. We return to Dover, I'd certainly put it on top of my list for a return visit.

“Good for a night”

I only stayed one night, so it was worth the cheap price for just one night. We had a few problems. When we showed up the guy at the front desk went to "check to see if the room was ready", but when he came back it was clear that he had been cleaning it and getting the maids to clean it. The room itself was pretty clean. There were plenty of towels and even a coffee maker, but we were only given one little bottle of shampoo so we had to request more. The maid decided to pound on our door for 35 minutes straight at 9 in the morning and woke us up. That bothered us a lot because we wanted to sleep in until the check out time, but that didn't happen. Overall it is a good place to stay if you are only looking for a place to crash for a couple of nights and looking for a cheap hotel.
