“You get what you pay for.”

Good, clean, affordable hotel. Would stay again if in area, but won't go out of way to stay there.

“Only place I could find in Dowagiac”

The Baymont does well with the diversity of clientele that it must serve. Service was available and convenient. continental breakfast okay. Beds could have been a little firmer. But I slept well and found the hotel to meet my expectations and was easy to find.l

“Good value and convenient”

This hotel was in a remote location, but was perfect for my business trip. It was well-cared for, and the room was clean and comfortable. I came in on a Sunday night and all that was available was fast food for dinner, but other than that it was fine.

“Only choice in Dawagiac”

Although the front desk staff were courteous and accomadating, the shower curtain was moldy and the walls were paper thin. I was on the 1st floor and I could here everything going on above me which made it difficult to sleep. The continental breakfast was very minimal. On the up side, the staff did allow a late check out time so that we could use the pool on a hot, stormy day.

“Noisy”

Hopefully you like what your neighboors are watching on TV becasue the walls are paper thin. You will hear everything that is going on in the rooms around you. If you get a handicap room, ask to be transferred right away if you do not need the special accomodations as you have no closet and the bathrooms are uncomfortable to say the least. Staff was very friendly however, they did everything they could to make things right.

“I do not recommend”

Our first room smelled like cat urine. The front deck attendant, Bradly, who was very nice, gave us another room. This room's a/c did not work. He gave us another room. Again, the a/c did not work. Back to the desk for another room. This room was ice cold, but had been a smoking room and the smoke smell was as bad as the cat urine!!! So back to our second room. One of my party does heating and cooling so they rigged the a/c to work. The carpet felt almost sticky. It appeared to be an older hotel in need of some work. It is kind of out in the middle of nowhere, not tooo much around. We will never stay there again. I will again give Bradley kudos though, he tried very hard to make me happy!

“Not impressed”

I was rather unimpressed with this hotel. For the price, it didn't seem half as nice as their website makes it look. The breakfast consisted of three kinds of sugared cereals and prepackaged donuts. Nothing but an apple for the health-conscious. And their towels: thin and weary looking. My facetowel was actually grey from all the years of use, not to mention rough on the skin. For the remoteness of the location from the next major city, don't stay here unless you have a pressing need to be in Dowagiac.
