Told to find alternate accommodation due to fire
Posted Jan 5, 2022 on HotelsI was not afforded the opportunity to stay. On trying to confirm location approximately 1 hour before check-in I was told by a less than pleasant man to find alternate accommodation as there was a fire at the hotel.

When I booked I was attracted by the pictures that looks beautiful and clean but it’s opposite of my expectations. The price I paid did not meet my expectations I could have used marriot in that price range.

We checked in around 5 pm. They had a sign at check in stating if you need additional items for room including ice you would need to come the front desk as they would not deliver to the room. I asked for extra towels then. We were assigned a room on 5th floor. The hallways were dimly lit. In the hall there was no less 5 room with clear filled bags of garbage over flowing on to the rug, including a box of Lucky Charms that were also scattered on the floor. The beds were clean. We left around 6pm returning around 10 pm to see that nothing was picked up. This hotel is NOT GRAND.

Hotel had a fire, overnight during our stay. We assembled in lobby in the cold (doors open) for 2.5 hours.
