"A real gem in downtown Dallas!"
I've stayed at over a hundred different hotels and I was genuinely impressed with the Omni Dallas. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was quick. The elevators were quick to appear and fast to the target floor. My room was very quiet (so rare these days), and the entire outward facing wall was glass, giving me a lovely view and lots of natural light. The bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom was just right with a spacious shower. There was even a small TV embedded in the bathroom mirror! The only thing I felt was less than ideal was the depth of my "desk" but it still worked. Some unique features that were really nice to see include the key card dock near the door to help reduce energy use when the room is not occupied. And I really appreciated the little night light at the bottom of the night stand that turned on only when it detected my feet. What a great idea to provide just enough lighting in a dark room! Finally, we had two memorable dinners at Bob's Steak & Chop House. The food, wine and service were outstanding. I don't recall if I've ever stayed at an Omni Hotel in all my years of traveling but I certainly hope to after this exceptional experience.

Pocket Guide: Dallas Downtown Dallas Omni Hotels

Like everything in Texas, downtown Dallas is big. Fortunately, downtown’s zones make it easy to explore. The city’s art museum, symphony, and Dallas World Aquarium reside in the Arts District. West End’s Elm Street marks the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. The Sixth Floor Museum chronicles this dark day. Deep Ellum, east of downtown, is Dallas’ main nightlife hub.
