I fell in love with this hotel!!! The staff educated us on the history of this hotel and what part it took in the War between the Church, and the Government of Mexico. We learned a lot from the staff at this wonderful hotel. The staff is Top Notch!!! We were taken care of by the staff without any issues...they provided superb service. No request was too much or out of the question. Oh, before I forget...the coffee lovers will love this place coffee! :) There's no need to seek any coffee shop with the awesome coffee they serve. I highly recommend the "Americano"!!! And the food, the food is good too...my wife, and I were impressed. We just didn't have the need to leave to eat dinner...or breakfast.
I highly recommend this hotel to all of the couples that seek a romantic getaway. ;)

Great hotel. Each room has an artistic theme, and the open-air courtyard was lovely. The staff was wonderful, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They were extremely proud of their hotel and were eager to share it with us. Thanks for a great experience!!

La Rotonda is an old, but quaint hotel in the heart of the Historic District of Guadalajara. One can walk to the Teatro Degollado (for symphonic music or Folklorico Ballet) or to Fabricas de Francia (like Macy's). The Jalisco Sinfonia is an excellent orchestra with visiting conductors and soloists.
The room is cooled by a ceiling fan. Hot water comes on about 07:00 a.m. and is available awhile (don't know how long), but then is not available again until next morning. The staff are polite and eager to be helpful, but their English is limited. The hotel food is adequate, but I mostly ate at a favorite restaurant elsewhere, such as La Rinconada on Morelos Street.

Very good hotel with very clean facility. The room is smaller than others I've been too but will see pass that when you notice how clean the staff leaves your room. Close to everything you can think of. The only flaw I noticed is hall carpet going to my room. It's very old and needs some upgrading. Other than that I recommend staying in this place!

Founded by the Spanish in 1542, Guadalajara is rich in culture and history. Home to numerous colonial buildings, museums, parks, theaters, and churches, the city is also the birthplace of mariachi music and tequila. Attractions include Mercado Libertad, said to be the largest indoor market in Latin America, and the resplendent Teatro Degollado, which opened in 1866.
