Beautiful building

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: The service was great, the room was phenomenal, the building was beautiful and the view incomparable.
Cons: The food selection from the breakfast buffet was poor.
Location: I was in the middle of everything. I walked everywhere. I found great food without having to go far from the hotel.
From the moment I walked in, I received nothing but excellent service. My room was very comfortable and the view incomparable.

Great location, authentic decor and Mexican feel.

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Location and ambiance
Location: Five minute walk to Cathedral, museums, shops, restaurants, etc.
The location can't get any better, walking distance to all the major historical spots in the center of the city. The hotel has an amazing old world charm that simply can't be beat. I have stayed at many hotels for business and if you are looking for a centrally located hotel with old world charm and great staff, this is the place. They also have a rooftop terrace that is very inviting. Be sure to stop by lobby bar and ask for Daniel, he is great and will remember what your drink order is.....great service at restaurant as well. Housekeepers are very friendly and quick to respond to requests.

Hotel im historischen Zentrum

Posted Mar 25, 2015

Great Colonial boutique hotel perfectly location

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The architecture, quaintness, smallness, charm
Cons: Lighting in the rooms - too dark TV needs more English channels would be nice
Location: Perfect locations! Downtown, near all tourists spots, lots of places to walk to, tons of stores and restaurants, only 10-15 minutes by taxi to Expo
I chose this hotel because I prefer colonial Mexian hotels with charm and culture over the box chain hotels you can stay in anywhere. I was not disappointed. The hotel is very beautiful, after passing throught the main entrance you come into a Hacienda style hotel with the open courtyard in the middle with a fountain, patio, piano, and seating. Absolutely lovely painted in the Santa Fe Orange yellow tones. The architecture is beautiful. There is a small restaurant and bar on the main floor. I booked on line and paid a great price in Canadian dollars. The room was clean, large with super tall ceilings , bathroom was a bit small but then how much time does one spend there?! Bed was comfortable, not too many channels in English on the tv, but I had my iPad loaded with movies and videos so good to go. My only comment was that the room was a bit dark. There is a nice gym and beautiful pool on the roof. From a location perspective was awesome -only 2 blocks from the cathedral and many of the key sites. There is a double decker bus called TAPATIO bus leaving from beside the Cathedral which is a super option to go and see the local towns of tlaquepaque and Tonala, or into the Tequila region tour, a really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend.

Excellent Historic Hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Impeccable, not a single smallest paper laying around or on the corner of the entire facility. Crew very helpful and courteous. The Hotel is only two (2) blocks away from the main square. Grateful Hotel and I will stay again as many times I can.
