Comfortable Room, Nice Amenities

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Our total experience was great from check-in to check-out. Friendly helpful staff too.
Location: Walking distance to Old Market.
Stayed one night at the Magnolia. Enjoyable wine and beer happy hour. Walking distance to The Boiler Room for dinner. Milk and cookie treat before bed. Filling breakfast in the morning.

Vintage sheik!

A few blocks from the Old Marke, Great dining and night life. The hotel lounge is amazing! Free happy hour from 5:30-6:30pm. The breakfast is free and delicious!

Live staying here when I'm in Omaha.

Awesome building and a great staff. The only complaint I have is the shower curtains. They don't really work and I end up cleaning up water that's escaped after I bathe. Maybe it's just me since I'm an enormous man. Some would say freakish. Next time you find yourself lucky enough to be in Omaha, Nebraska do yourself a favor and book a room at the magnolia.

Very nice hotel in an older building. Great free happy hour and breakfast. Staff very helpful. Room was a little dark. The beds were small and hard. The bathroom was also small. Nice that they had a 24 hour shuttle to anywhere you needed to go, but you need to be prepared to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to a hour for the return trip.

Great Hotel with Historic Charm

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: I loved the look and feel of the hotel and it's historic charm with modern touches. I loved the exercise room and was surprised how big it was!
Cons: The breakfast buffet could have been improved! Caution - not many choices to choose from. Good thing it was included in the room rate.
Location: Centrally located to everything downtown and not too far from the malls. Not that many parking spaces to choose from on the street for free parking.
Was surprised to find a Library and Exercise Room in the hotel. The hotel is beautiful! Just a word of caution, the shower was a little narrow but doable.

Central Location, hotel with character.

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: boutique style
Cons: Breakfast is average.
Location: Central location. Near to businesses and entertainment district
Business trip for 3 days. Centrally located hotel. Boutique style - old building, high ceilings etc. Refreshing change from branded new builds. Manager's reception every evening with complimentary drinks and snacks. Bar food OK, but menu basic. Good dining options nearby. Easy distance to airport (10 mins). Parking lot over the road (fee) or on the street (no fee overnight). Didn't see the gym (again, but I will next time....I promise). Room large enough, but not suite size. Coffee and toiletries in the room (the soap even had bits in it, so it must be expensive). Breakfast is complimentary, but basic. Will definitely go back here - not suited for those chasing hotel points and tier status. Glad I am free of that mentality. Variety is the spice of life.
