Vagabond Inn Palm Springs

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Cons: I found the pool water terribly warm for the hot day I swam in ti.
Location: Twenty minutes walk from centre of town.
Overall a simple, clean hotel. Nothing fancy, but nicely priced for Palm Springs.

Ground floor beds were very used.

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Cons: Replace dirty wall paper. Make sure Mattress are not sloped inward from excessive use.
Location: 20 min to tram up the mountain.
Wall paper in room stained. No support in bed. The good news is that there was a big hot tub and pool open till 11pm. We had lots of fun and met some really nice people.

Great value in Palm Springs

Posted Mar 18, 2015
If you want fancy look elsewhere. But if you want a great deal, this is your place. Room somewhat dated, but overall clean. Staff super nice. Breakfast good. Pool decent. I wouldn't recommend this for your honeymoon, but a great place to crash at night.

basic hotel , very reasonable price

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Clean hotel, plenty of parking spaces no matter what time of the day u coming back . Rooms have everything u need : coffeemaker, fridge , micro wave . Breakfast was not very good though . only very basic carbs . No yogurts , no fruits . However , because of low price we expected that.

Decent for the price.

Pros: Reasonably quiet; efficient housekeeping; basic breakfast choices were OK - Lenders Bagels were good
Cons: More copies of USA Today at the front desk; more tables/chairs at BJ's cafe; bananas and/or oranges besides apples for fruit choices
Location: several restaurants nearby, more choices downtown a mile north or half a mile east; we liked Elmer's, Bill's Pizza & Cowboy Barbeque; Swiss Donut also
Overall a good choice for a budget hotel. We checked in early afternoon and had a choice of rooms; the clerk was rather indifferent, not particularly helpful or friendly, but got us set up efficiently. The plumbing all worked fine. The room was clean, beds were relatively comfortable though firm. Pets are allowed so expect to hear some barking; the one in the room below us yipped a bit but not enough to be annoying.

Smoking hotel

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Our rom smelled strongly of febreeze, presumably to cover up cigarette smell. We had a full ashtray just in front of our door and there was a big smoking area right by the pool. This is not a good place for those sensitive to smoke or perfume smells.
