"Delightful Downtown Hotel"
We were very surprised and pleased by the high quality of the Motif Hotel. Our satisfaction was enhanced by the Expedia VIP room upgrade we received which provided a larger room with a wonderful view of the harbour and Public Market. We were also pleased with the hotel's easy to find downtown location and the accessible on-site underground parking. The recently refurbished modern decor of the hotel and of our room was very attractive and comfortable. The friendly and helpful staff also added to our positive experience. The central location of the hotel was very convenient for our purpose of attending a concert at the Paramount Theatre, which was only a short walk away. Similarly, the famous Public Market was within easy reach, as well as shopping and restaurants. We will definitely try to come back to this hotel on our next visit to Seattle.

"Our stay in Seattle"
The Staff where all excellent from the restaurant steward in your upper dining room who was very engaging and who's conversation certainly added to our meal experience, to a young hostess who saw me reading the history of the hotel downstairs and stopped to ask where I was from and again took the time to chat, very friendly. We didn't have time to enjoy your fitness area but we did look in and the attendant was very pleasant, she showed us quickly what she could as we where in street clothes and shoes. We where missing a face cloth in the washroom somehow but with a call to services we had one delivered in less than five minutes. There was one young lady that received us at check in who seemed a little less engaged at the reception desk, she was by no means rude or unpleasant, she only really stood out because everyone else was so welcoming and couldn't seem to do enough for us. Your hotel was meant as a little treat for us along our travels and our room and most certainly your staff didn't disappoint. Thank You

"THE Hotel for the alternative crowd"
I love this hotel, even with all the quirks and unexpected things that a more modern hotel would have overcome, like faster elevators, slightly larger rooms, perhaps a quieter surrounding. But all of these things are very minor when taken in context. Everything is clean and spotless, the decoration and artwork are very interesting and alternative, and the many, many little thoughtful touches are amazing. By way of examples: including an "intimacy kit" as a purchasable item in the room, including a spirituality menu where you dial up room service and they'll bring you a copy of virtually any of the major spiritual texts (Bible, Koran, Scientology, Bagavat Gita, Book of Mormon, etc.). As a non-believer I would have liked an option for that too (Origin of Species? Walden? God is Not Great?) but most people don't rent hotel rooms to read books (sorry Gideon). The location is fabulous; walking distance to everything, including and especially Pike's Market. The rooms are smallish, but since I'm only there to sleep and brush my teeth, within reason, room size is irrelevant. The air conditioner is a bit noisy, but the easier thing to do is crack open the window for a bit of fresh air at night. The restaurant downstairs is amazing, and the dinner was top notch, as is the wine list. Don't miss the corned beef for breakfast, really, really fabulous and memorable, the best I've ever had. In short, book this hotel, you will not regret it. It exudes funk in a sophisticated way

"Close to Paramount Theater"
Hotel staff were very nice, helpful. It is an expensive hotel but it was nice and great location for a concert at the Paramount Theater (2 blocks!). Clean, comfortable room, valet parking is extra but parking is difficult in Seattle so worth it. Would recommend for a night on the town.

"Nice hotel on the edge of downtown"
Really nice hotel, liked the modern decor and it was clean. Had a really nice cocktail bar attached and being above a Whole Foods was great! We had breakfast there two mornings which was very convenient and inexpensive. Although the hotel was not in the heart of downtown it really wasn't that far to walk anywhere and we walked to the football game, to the Space Needle and to Pikes Market. When heading out of Whole Foods walk down to the right and you will find a few more nice restaurants too. I wish the hotel was a little more informative as to what to do and where to go to eat but we figured it out cuz it was all really close. We would stay there again because it was a little calmer being out a little farther from the main downtown.
