Close for touring Syracuse Uni

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Location, and staff were friendly and tried their best.
Cons: The business center needs to be improved. Found it very difficult to print boarding pass with antiquated computer and printer. Breakfast upgraded.
Location: Location is good for touring Syracuse Uni. Only 10 minute walk to Admissions
Hotel feels depressing. Carpet was not clean in main areas but the room was clean. Pillows were very lumpy which made it difficult to sleep. Staff did try hard to be helpful. Taxis were very difficult to get from the hotel and we ended up waiting 45 minutes just to go 15 minutes to a restaurant. Breakfast was very basic - essentially bagel with egg and sausage or bacon.

Was good for what I needed

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: The staff was wonderful and very helpful, and the rooms were nice.
I was going to a conference and because I booked late the conference center was booked. This hotel was recommended it was within walking distance to the conference center. Rooms was clean and staff was very helpful, but I was disappointed that there was no restaurant, as I arrived late and was really looking forward to room service, but it turned out there was no food at all. They did have snacks, soda, beer and wine. I also thought it was a bit pricy for what they had to offer.

Nice, Clean Stay Close Walk to Campus/Downtown

Posted Mar 14, 2015
We only stayed one night and it was fine. The bed was very comfy and the room/bath were clean. I liked the updates done. The only thing I wish they offered was complimentary breakfast. The muffins were $3+ each and fruit was about the same. It's in a nice location, very short walk to the shops and campus. Would stay here again!

Pros: Clean, contemporary, Eco friendly, and the people were very nice and helpful.
Location: Not a bad location near the university and some good little restaurants. Easy to find.
We stayed in this hotel for one night in between visiting colleges in New York. When first arriving , I entered the building through the door that had the Skyler name on it. Lobby looked different than most hotels . Very small check in area, which was fine, I just was uncertain if that was the place to go. The woman was on the phone, so I walked around and finally realized she was the person I needed to speak to. She was very, very nice and accommodating . Gave me lots of information about the room and the available breakfast.

We had a great two night stay in the king suite. It is exactly like the pictures and a great deal for the high quality of the room!

Pros: The room

The layout of the hotel was quite different but the rooms were absolutely amazing. I would definitely go back again.

Cons: Hotel room heating/cooling was by a noisy machine that made it hard to sleep.
Hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent. Only issue is that the room heating/cooling equipment was unacceptably noisy.

Pros: The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating.
Cons: The only thing that was disappointing was the lighting in the bathroom. It was too dim for my liking.
Had a short stay in Syracuse and chose because we could walk to the University.

Consistently an excellent experience! Missed the bar on a Sat night, but enjoyed the new breakfast even more.
