Great location downtown

Posted Mar 27, 2015
We found this a great place to use as our home base while visiting Vancouver. It's an easy walk to the Granville Island ferry, and to dozens of restaurants and coffee spots. Having a full kitchen saved us money, as we breakfasted in, and could reheat dinner leftovers. The front desk staff were helpful and smart, with a good sense of humor.

Pros: location
Cons: the scent of the rooms
Staff were very friendly and helpful, free parking was a nice bonus....rooms were clean but a faint odor lingered probably due to the age of the building.

definitely worth your money

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: It's location, functional kitchen
Cons: Hotel security
Location: the hotel was located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and had FREE parking. Short walk to the waterfront, to shopping areas, and plenty restaurants
At first glance, lobby looked old and dated, however, the rooms were nicely done. When I complained about a stain on the bed sheet, the front desk lady changed our room with no hassle and upgraded our room. the kitchen was big with complete appliances, separate bedroom and livingroom. The only incident that happened to us was that we left our umbrella behind our car over night in their indoor garage to dry out and next morning it was gone, and the disappointing thing was that the staff did nothing about it, didn't even offer something to remedy our bad experience at their hotel. By the way, breakfast was very minimal, so don't expect too much.

Very good hotel

I am very happy I found this little gem. Nothing overly fancy but the price was right and the room super comfortable. It's in a residential neighbourhood so it's pretty quiet too. Free parking is a huge bonus. I will definitely stay again.

Great hotel in downtown but needs improvement

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Location and staff were perfect.
Cons: Insulation of the room and breakfast.
We were happy during our stay most of the time. The room was big enough, there was everything we needed, the staff was very helpful but we did not like two things. First one is breakfast. We had to go downstairs with our plates or mugs and bring the breakfast to our room. Also we had to do the dishes. Yes, we felt like home but we didn't want to feel that much. We were there to relax. The breakfast was not rich. There was jam, cream cheese, bagel, banana, apple, juice, waffle which we usually eat at home. We were expecting something different. Secondly, our room was cold at night. The insulation is not sufficient. Unless you leave the heater until morning, you will freeze. If you are sensitive to the heater's sound, you may have to choose freezing or not being able to sleep well. TV in the room was very good and renting dvd's for free was really great! If these two things could be improved, the hotel will be unbeatable!
