Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Kids loved the pool, but was a little too cold for us adults lol. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay there again

Hotel was nice, staff horrible

The staff was not friendly. If it wasn't for the Ramada name it would never recommend.

A great place to stay - for the most part.

Pros: Good location, comfortable, pleasant staff
Cons: It seems like the TV issue wasn't that rare, so I would get that straightened out.
Location: Right at the south entrance to town. Next to as Esso station and a Tim Hortons.
First off, its hard to get a hotel room in Drayton Valley. The oil industry keeps rooms booked pretty full. I was pleased to get a reservation at a nice place that had free Wifi and free breakfast. The bed was really comfortable. Good pillows. here were plenty of towels, and I use a lot of them, so I was very happy about that. Nice toiletries, too. What wasn't great was getting back to my room and that night and finding the TV didn't work. The remote turned it on, but nothing would happen past that. I called the front desk (after 11 PM) and was told to unplug the TV for at least five minutes, and then it should be fine again. No such luck, but by then I needed to get to sleep. While it was quiet the next morning as I got dressed (I like to have the TV on for background chatter), the complementary breakfast was very good.

Cold Cold Cold

Its -40C outside! Thermostat in the room is set at 16C. Doesn't matter what YOU want it set at. When I asked at the front desk, the clerk said all the rooms are set at 16C. We cannot afford to let each room set their own temperature! Won't be staying HERE again!

Wouldn't stay here!

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Would never stay here again. No food left after 5 am for breakfast, was told by the breakfast worker that they didn't have the budget for it. So why say you offer breakfast?? Very unprofessional front desk and way would rather make the drive to edmonton before staying again! Very disappointed!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: All the rig hands at breakfast swearing and making a mess and eating like pigs at a trough.
Cons: Clean the pool. The floors, the mold on the steps of the hot tub, etc.
Location: Horrible, horrible, horrible location. Tim Hortons close by.
First, this was our second attempt at staying here. The first time they "lost" our booking (despite the confirmation number I possessed)This time around, we got checked in and went down to use the pool.We found 6 drunk men in there drinking, including one from one of the glasses like those found in the rooms. We had to navigate through the mud, scattered shoes and dirty socks to get to the pool.So we left, once we waddled out to the front desk to get towels (while taking pains to avoid the guy walking his giant and unruly rottweiler through the lobby to take him into the exercise room). After that, the stay went down hill. Our rooms had the added benefit of over-looking the Tim Hortons drive through. So, we had the pleasure of listening to giant jacked up trucks with custom exhaust rumble through the drive-through until 11pm.It wasnt too long after that the partying in the room subsided and we enjoyed a glorious rest until sometime around 4am the alarm in the next room started to ring, and kept ringing until we checked out at 10.A call to the front desk at 5 was no help,as they cannot disturb a guest until after 11am?? But that was ok, because at 5am, the giant jacked up trucks with the custom exhaust(is there any other kind in Drayton Valley)began rumbling through the drive-through again, and oddly enough, cleaning staff banging on the door at 8 (so much for not disturbing guests until 11)???? But at least we were able to check in this time!
