Good value for money
Everything was great. Where we were situated was noisy because of the constant running of trams but hotel was fully booked so we couldn't change rooms. However staff were polite and very helpful. Room was clean and spacious and good value for money.

Perfect for us!
e just stayed here for 5 days over the Christmas Holiday. We loved this hotel! It was so convenient for us! Super clean and modern. Very reasonable price! The only slightly negative is their breakfast buffet. It is an extra charge of 10.00 Euros pp and is adequate however the buffet items were never real warm . Loved this little hotel however!!!

Best hotel experience I’ve had for the cost!
Easily my favorite hotel experience for the price! This place is a gem in the rough! If I ever go back to Dresden I will ALWAYS book with this hotel again!

Bathroom of our room was massive and very clean. Enjoyed the bathtub for sure! The sleeping area, hallways and lobby was so-so, outdated and not incredibly secure. Good for travel on a budget.

Great hotel!
Perfect for requirements. I needed a cost effective hotel for a commute to Prague. It is basic with everything you need for a good night’s sleep.

We got room 109 first night which is very close to the street where trams run, noisy at night and my wife could not sleep. We requested a different room for the second night, the room we got (201) is still not ideal, I appreciate the effort hotel made, but we found out soon they did not tell us the whole story, the receptionist kept telling us the rooms were sold out but we found out which was not true, finally they have to give us a better room, I guess only because we caught their "untruthfullness". I also have a question for Hotels.com, one time one hotel told us they could not give us better room because we booked through Hotels.com which got very competitive/cheap rate. Is this true Mr. Hotels,com?

Room 201 is one of the quitest rooms in the hotel. We are a typical city hotel, so we have a street on each corner. At the moment we do have a high occupancy, we are in our high season. Beautiful rooms, very poor breakfast
Stayed at the hotel for one night. We were nicely surprised as we received the room at the top floor. The room was adorable. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the breakfast was miserable. The worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel. No choice, very messy.

Great budget hotel
Great budget hotel on the outskirts of Dresden. Convenient location if you're driving and only twenty minute ride in to Old Town, e.g., the Zwinger, from the local tram stop, which itself is a two minute walk from the hotel. The bathroom is fantastic. Almost the same size as the room itself with a huge bath and separate shower. The fitness centre on the other hand is not worthy of its name. Two incredibly old cycling machines, one broken weight machine, and a cross trainer. There are no weights, water cooler, nor towels. There are two local supermarkets but besides this it is a little residential without many options for restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Large Room with Basics
Nice spacious room for my wife, toddler son, and I. Big Bathroom also. Some basic amenities like an electric jug would have been good and free Wi-Fi in lobby only is a bit of a pain. Breakfast buffet is good value and we weren't charged for our son.

Decent hotel for a fair price
The only things I didn't like we're that the hotel is about 20 minutes away from the city centre by bus, and that the room was a little small. You should also be aware that wifi access costs an additional 7 euros per day. Despite these shortcomings it was clean and in good condition, the staff are friendly and most speak English. The hotel is right near a bus stop and close to a grocery store which was nice.

The location is not so good. It's close to a metro station, but it's a bit far - more than 10 stations away from the Main one. Also, sound proof between rooms is horrible. One can hear clearly while people in other rooms are talking. In the room I was staying, the (old CRT) TV signal is so bad that I can see mostly only noises. This at most in my opinion is a 3-3.5 star hotel.

Nice Hotel in Dresden
We found the hotel to be clean and neat with an efficient and friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room - slightly larger than others we had been staying in. The surrounding area is also quiet. Although this hotel is not in the city center, getting to the center was not difficult and took about 10 minutes.

ok, but...
It is a modern building (thought the picture makes it look more historic). One pillow smelled like cigarettes and the review form in room had already been filled in (apparently room service hadn't picked it up.) Sauna was refreshing. Shoe shiner good. Don't pay to park, it is free on the street. Should not have to pay for internet here!

Nice hotel, but not really IN Dresden
The hotel and room were very nice, but the location was pretty far out of the city center. It took almost 30 minutes by tram to get there, but the tram does pick up right across the street. The neighborhood the hotel is in is very nice.

great location
We enjoyed our stay here very much. the beds were comfortable, the showers clean, the location is perfect. if you arrive in Dresden on train or bus, you don't need a taxi to get to the hotel. save yourself the money and take the tram, line 9 stops nearby and takes you directly to the the stop , the hotel is only a 3 minute walk from there.

Great stay in convenient suburb of Dresden
We were a little concerned regarding being a ways out of the center city. The hotel is located on a major access road. Also, just a half block away was the stop for the line 9 Tram which runs right to the Theatreplatz in the heart of town. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Has a number of modern upgrades. The morning buffet at 13 euros is all youi can eat. The food was good and a better price than we could have gotten elsewhere. The rooms were spacious and clean. One item of note, there was no A/C in the room. So in the summer time it could be an issue. During our fall stay it wasn't a problem.

Although a ten minute ride from the station on the one #7 tram it was well worth the effort. Very quiet neighborhood, extremely helpful staff, nice big room and although I didn't use it they provided a very good breakfast selection...good restaurant on site.

Marvellous place to stay.
The location was a great only a ten minute very pleasant ride on the number nine tram. The hotel reception was outstanding and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. the room was spacious and very clean and attractive. It was quiet in the evenings and CNN was available. The breakfast was good and quite extensive. All in all I would gladly stay there again and look forward to it.

Nice but simple hotel. Very close to train stop.
Stayed here because it was close to train stop (took about 15 min to get to city center). The hotel definitely didn't blow my mind but it also wasn't a bad place to stay. We were traveling through Europe and this was a nice break from staying at hostels (with a comparable price split 3 ways). The room wasn't very big but since we didn't spend much time there it was fine for us. Unfortunately the free wifi is only in the lobby and breakfast cost 10 Euro. Overall though I would recommend this to anyone traveling on a budget who really just wants a clean, safe place to stay for the night(s).

Pleasant hotel, but we had a ridiculous experience. We checked into our room and the wireless was working just fine, but when we got back, it wasn't working. When we reported this, the staff informed us that they were transitioning to a new, non-free system and that we would not have access for the remainder of our stay. This would have been very nice to know, say, when we asked about getting online a few hours before! This unprofessional behavior really spoiled the experience for us; otherwise, the hotel was nice, although the location is fairly inconvenient.

Great hotel in Reick
Nice out of the way Hotel, Tram and Bus stops close by. Having a balcony was a plus after a busy day of sightseeing. Some road noise when you have the windows open. if that does not bother you this is the hotel for you, two grocery stores nearby but no restaurants other than the one associated with the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. The staff at the front desk was super helpful.

Clean and cozy, away from the city center.
Nice hotel, we've stayed in a room for 3 persons for several nights. The room on the first floor was quite comfortable. The weather outside was terribly cold, but the room was pleasantly warm and cozy. Staff was helpful, they gave us tips on the local transport and places to go. The hotel is not so close to the city center, it takes about 25 minutes to get to the central railway station on the tram (right, there is a tram stop next to the hotel), so it may not suit everyone. You can buy the tickets at the reception.

The good not always expensive.
Nice and neat accommodation,good food in hatel's restaurant,very clean rooms with friendly hotel staff.Fitnessroom well equiped and up to standart even for my age(65). Breakfast Buffet has variety of dishes to choose from for very afordable price. I would recommend to "Best Western Hotel in Canada to take it as an example and for such price to raise it's standart.

Great Choice for hotel
The Azimut Hotel was a great place to stay. Tram and bus stop right next to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice sized. Only thing they need to improve is their internet access in the rooms. Could connect in the lobby area but very seldom in the room. Having said that, I would still recommend this as a great place to stay.

For some reason, the receptionist wanted to copy my passport upon checkin, even though the room was pre-paid. Welcome to Schengen! Then we were woken at 5 on our first morning here by extreme amounts of traffic noise that only seemed to abate around 9. If you want to sleep here, get a room that doesn't face the main streets. Oh, and bring your own bed, because the ones provided by the hotel are small and have way too soft mattresses. We were kindly moved to another room for our second night, which helped keep the morning noise a bit down, but still not exactly a tranquil experience. The wifi connection was usable for one device at a time only, and then at glacial speeds. I hope this hotel one day takes the jump into the 21st century, where people expect fast internet connections for *all* devices. The tram connection into Dresden is easy and convenient, taking 20-25 minutes to Theaterplatz.

It was really nice to stay there. Town centre within 10-13 minutes by tram which stop proximately close to the hotel. Very friebdly personnel, they greeted us anytime we crossed the entrance. Big and tidy room, sauna is available too.

Good place for travel
On the outside of town, but right of tram line, so 15-20 minute journey to town. The location is ideal if your traveling because this puts you between Dresden and the some beautiful towns SW of Dresden on the river, Stadt Wehlen and Konigstein. Which are absolutely worth a visit. Not much around hotel for eating/grocery/shopping. Wifi in room works, not super fast, but works. Staff was helpful, and English speaking. Didn't try breakfast because of surcharge. Worth the cost, but will get warm with no a/c, if temp outside rises. Fan in room.

Azimut Dresden is on the number 9 tram line and is just a few seconds walk from the “Hülßestraße” station: "From Dresden’s main station north (“Hauptbahnhof Nord”), take tram no. 9 toward “Prohlis”, getting off at “Hülßestraße” station (the travelling time is approximately 18 minutes, and there is a tram every 10 minutes during the day). The AZIMUT Hotel Dresden can be reached after 50 meters walking distance." Be prepared for the ride to/from the center of town when planning your days in Dresden. Nice hotel, very clean and recently updated (2011). Recommended!
