I would be happy to stay here again. The location is excellent, it is situated near all the Altstadt architectural treasures and not very far from the bahnhof.

Charming Town and HotelPosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
We have travelled to Germany many times, but never to Dresden. We didn't do much research on the town itself and were pleasantly surprised by all the things it has to offer. We go to Germany at Christmas for the street markets, but now we will go to Dresden for the town. The hotel is across the street from one of the oldest churches in the area, Holy Cross Church. The bells ring every day at 7AM as a calling to wake up the city and ring in a new day. If you are bothered by this tradition, find another hotel, because it is literally steps from the front door and most of the rooms face this beautiful masterpiece. Everything you need is right here. A huge marketplace/mall sits behind the hotel. The train is a 8-10 minute walk or take the tram for two stops. Every kind of restaurant you would ever want to visit is in the square. We chose an Indian restaurant, Agra and it was delicious! There is steak, Tex-Mex, Asian fusion, kebap, ice cream parlor and more. The hotel breakfast is a little expensive, but worth it. Try the waffle machine, light and fluffy with great syrup and jams. The bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is very clean and updated and the hotel is quiet. I will definitely stay here next summer when I visit beautiful Dresden again.

Poor wifi connectionPosted Nov 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Spacious room with giant king size bed, good location but poor free wifi connection in room let it down. Only managed to connect by standing by the room door

The staff are extremely nice and very, very helpful. The location is fantastic as you can walk to all the sights. The indoor parking under the hotel is a major plus! The buffet breakfast is the best.

Great location.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Cons: Not much.
Location: Perfect location. There was a Oktoberfest food market on in he square at the time which was located 20 metres from the front door.
For exploring Dresden this hotel is perfectly situated. Hotel is new, clean & comfortable. A good rate was on offer which made it even better. Restaurant & bar were good. Very central. Good rooms, modern, clean & spacious.

DON'T KNOW YOU ARE COMING! .Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: IT WAS NOT TOO FAR FROM THE TRAIN STATION.
Cons: IT CERTAINLY NEEDS A WARMER ATMOSPHERE. ALSO, BOTH EXPEDIA AND THE HOTEL OUGHT TO BE ON TOP OF THEIR RESERVATIONS.
Location: THE OLD TOWN HAS INTERESTING ARCHITECTURE AND MUSEUMS, PLUS SOME NICE RESTAURANTS. IT IS A VERY PRETTY TOWN WITH THE ELBE RIVER RUNNING THROUGH IT.
EXPEDIA AND THE HOTEL OUGHT TO MAKE CERTAIN YOUR RESERVATION IS THERE UPON ARRIVAL - IT WAS GOOD THAT I HAD PROOF WITH ME. IT WAS OK BUT A LITTLE ON THE OUTSKIRTS FOR THE OLD TOWN. I HAD A RESERVATION FOR A KING BED AND THEY INITIALLY PUT ME IN A ROOM WITH TWIN BEDS. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY MOVED ME TO THE NOISY FRONT OF THE HOTEL WHERE YOU CAN HEAR THE CHURCH BELLS.

Simply outstandingPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We never heard of NH hotels however we will definitely use them in the future. This hotel was ultra modern and provided simply superb service. The breakfast was wonderful- the staff could not have done a better job. We got in late and they were able to provide us with a wonderful meal. The location is in the heart of the city - our room was 25 feet from a medieval church - it couldn't get much better! Very easy access to to street cars and the main train station - all easy to walk to. Dining recommendations from the staff were appreciated and right on.
