“A lovely hotel with a great view”

This is a lovely hotel, situated on the opposite bank of the Elbe from the beautiful centre of the city of Dresden. There was really nothing to fault.

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was first class. The staff most friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Should I ever return to Dresden then the Westin Bellevue would once again be my choice of hotel.

“Very beautiful hotel”

The hotel is situated conveniently on the other side of the river exactly across the Old Town. If you exit at the back of the hotel you are in a beautiful park with exit to the river promenade. The rooms are luxuriously furnished and well serviced. Since it is on the New Town side of the river it has access to various good and less touristy restaurants which can be reached easily on foot. Can heartily recommend it.

This 5 star hotel which I got at a promotional price was ideal to explore Dresden as it was situated just across the river. The breakfasts were excellent- omlettes made to your order - staff very pleasant and large rooms and bathrooms. Highly recommended.

“Westin's Heavenly Bed Really Is”

I am not into writing reviews but because the reviews I'd read before my trip weren't very positive, and I decided to "take a chance" on this hotel I was now compelled to write one. My experience at the Bellevue was totally positive. The room was not small by European standards and was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The Westin Heavenly Bed and Bath, truly is. Best bed I have had in Europe with down pillows and comforter. I enjoyed lovely bubble baths each night with fine bath products. Hotel is situated across one main bridge from most of Dresden's historic sites but it is an easy walk over bridge. One suggestion - if you are arriving by train do not get off at the main downtown station. Get off at the other Dresden station. I think it was called the new station or the north station. That was an easy walk to the hotel. It is one the north side of the Elbe River not on the south side like the main station. The front desk staff was also very accomadating.

“Great location”

It's situated conveniently to the old town area of Dresden, within a few minutes walk over the bridge. I had a river view room and thought it well worth the price. I didn't try the restaurants as I seldom think that it's worth the extra costs in Europe. Must be the exchange rate, but I'm morally opposed to paying $25-$30 per person for a bread and cheese buffet. Anyway, I'd recommend this hotel.
