“Mixed Bag”
I would recommend this hotel to those prepared to pay $34 for a breakfast buffet, and proportionately high for other restaurant options. Fortunately, we found a nearby bakery and fruit stand where we were able to breakfast well for a quarter of the price. There were several very good and reasonable restaurants within a two to four-block radius. Our room was at the far end of the hotel, about 1 block from the lobby, and 20 feet from a busy street with cars, trucks, and a streetcar. The room did not appear to have any air conditioning, and was overly warm, so we had our choice of the road noise or the heat. The advertising views of the hotel show its impressive facade facing the river and the older part of Dresden, where there are undoubtedly quiet rooms with a view.
“Good location, very friendly staff”
Excellent location, close to everything, nice walking area down to Elbe or over the Augusus bridge to the old town. Hotel is very clean, quiet and has all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is very expensive and the internet charge is steep however. Still a good value after getting a good deal from expedia on the hotel price itself.
“Good hotel, good location”
Good hotel, but was given single beds when a king bed had been reserved. Pool is nice but dated, and not warm.
“Great location”
It's situated conveniently to the old town area of Dresden, within a few minutes walk over the bridge. I had a river view room and thought it well worth the price. I didn't try the restaurants as I seldom think that it's worth the extra costs in Europe. Must be the exchange rate, but I'm morally opposed to paying $25-$30 per person for a bread and cheese buffet. Anyway, I'd recommend this hotel.
“Extremely comfortable”
great location, very nice rooms, a classy hotel, with everything you could want at your finger-tips. Great breakfasts also.
“Business-Pleasure Traveler”
The hotel is in a perfect location. It is across the river from the old classic section of Dresden, and affords a beautiful view of both the river and old city, and the old bridge to cross the river is only a 100-yds away. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bed was just as i like it - firm, but not hard. The hotel is clean, and the staff are attentive and respectful. This hotel will be my first choice when i return to this charming city.
“a beautiful hotel”
This 5 star hotel which I got at a promotional price was ideal to explore Dresden as it was situated just across the river. The breakfasts were excellent- omlettes made to your order - staff very pleasant and large rooms and bathrooms. Highly recommended.
“Wonderful hospitality and customer service”
The staff at the Westin Bellevue were amazingly friendly and helpful. Also, they stood out in Dresden because of how many of the staff spoke fluent English. Several times during my weeklong stay in Dresden I requested help accessing local transportation: the Westin Bellevue staff were only too glad to find train schedules, produce bus maps, or call a taxi. It was a wonderful trip generally, but the quality of the staff at the Westin Bellevue stood out as exemplary.
“Very beautiful hotel”
The hotel is situated conveniently on the other side of the river exactly across the Old Town. If you exit at the back of the hotel you are in a beautiful park with exit to the river promenade. The rooms are luxuriously furnished and well serviced. Since it is on the New Town side of the river it has access to various good and less touristy restaurants which can be reached easily on foot. Can heartily recommend it.
“decent place to stay.”
pretty good price from expedia.
