“Smoke Gets in Your Eyes”

This Best Western is a bare bones hotel. Situated next to railroad tracks and across the street from a Penn State Campus in DuBois, PA. There are no elevators (a warning to those with heavy luggage). The room smelled of cigarette smoke, and several attempts were made to get a magnetic key that worked. The beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast had a nice variety for a quick bite before getting on the road. The desk clerk was polite and friendly. The hotel is a mile or two from a large mall containing restaurants and some national store chains. Due to a Penn State football game this hotel was fully booked at an overly expensive rate. Avoid during football season.

“Old and run down”

Don't bother with this one unless you really need a hotel. The place is run down and not real accomidating. If you are on the second floor, plan to carry luggage, children, etc. up a flight of stairs. Not worth the money. Stay somewhere else.
