Very good service, excellent facilities.Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Comfortable rooms, close to everything, specially the subway station. I got a room in floor 17, with a stunning view of Dubai.
Location: Walking distance to subway station (Union). The hotel is next to a big shopping mall, its food court and many very nice restaurants.
Although I only stayed for 1 night, the experience was very nice. It has one of the best value for the money ratios in Dubai.

Nice hotel but unreliable wifiPosted Jun 9, 2015
The hotel is very nice and the staff very well trained. It is near old Dubai and connected to a shopping mall for great convenience. However you have to pay for WiFi in your room. Despite paying for WiFi and complaining, I had a very slow connection and I kept getting kicked off the connection. It was extremely painful sending and receiving emails and making Skype calls. These are a must for business travellers.

Very convenient and excellent value for moneyPosted May 21, 2015
There is nothing to not recommend about this establishment and its business philosophy. It is also bang in the middle of everything....near the airport, metro, in the mall and well appointed.

Fantastic hotel. Middle of nowherePosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Big rooms, clean, good bathroom. Luxurious. Nice lobby, connected to Mall.
Cons: A basic map of of area for tourists. Bigger pool. All else was great.
Location: Mall next door. metro 5 mins away. 15-20 minute walk to ferry/dhows which will take you to Old Town and Gold town.
The hotel was definately a 5*, but although 5 mins from Metro and next to Mall it was definately not a tourist area. If you want to go wander around in the evening then probably better in uptown area. 20 mins from the airport was a plus.

FabulousPosted May 10, 2015
Pros: The staff, swimming pool, breakfast.
Cons: The reception isn't always correct with direction regarding the metro. If you are going with the metro, get a guide there.
Location: The hotel is connected with the mall. There is a metro station within 5 minutes walk or you can ask the porter to call a cab.
We had a lovely stay at the Al Ghurair Dubai. The staff is over friendly and want to help you with everything and are always smiling. On arrival at 8 in de morning, our room was already available which was great. It was my birthday during our stay and my daughter asked for a candle to put on a muffin to surprise me. But instead of a candle some of the staff came to the breakfast table and sang 'happy birthday' and gave me a chocolate birthday cake with a candle! What a nice surprise! Thank you! The rooms are big with everything you need. We enjoyed the swimming pool which is in the shade half way in the afternoon. That is the time the kids come and play, so they don't get burned in the hot sun. The hotel has direct access to the mall with shops and food court. The hotel lies in the old part of Dubai so you have to travel if you want to see the new sites like Dubai mall, Burj Khalifa, Atlantis etc. This can be done bij metro or by taxi. The roads are very busy. In some parts the taxis and buses have there own roadways which saves time. At times the metro is uber full.

Pros: Dat het personeel heel vriendelijk is.
Location: Diverse eetgelegenheden dichtbij.
Goede airco.
