Good HotelPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: near to metro, restaurants. room service
Cons: shower curtains.
We are 2 adults and an infant. room was comfortable. we really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. easy access to few restaurants. 10 minute walk from Karama and Faheidi metro stations. you will also find lot of taxis any way. I made this booking 2 weeks in advance still my reservation did not get processed. I had to spend almost 30minutes for my checkin. on the first day, we were at the hotel at 9AM, early checkin was costly so we went for the beach by their complimentary shuttle service. awesome room service. noisy rooms, you will hear the noise from other rooms very often. this was not much of problem since the only time we were in the room was NIGHT. one improvement for overall experience could be made: bathroom is not exactly western style. bathrooms need shower curtains.

Nice but crowdedPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Room is clean and spacious.
Cons: Properly staff the reception, only 2-3 clerks working at time
Location: Its on Kuwait Rd, only 10 min from Airport.
Hotel is clean and Mankool area. 5 min walk to metro station. Lobby is always crowded, like a zoo. Reception always has a long line. Other than that, the hotel is good, clean and rooms are spaciouse

As a good place to stay I thought it was okay . But the location is far from the Metro. I did not think the price was that good a deal on hotels I found later. Other than that it was fine.

Decent hotelPosted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Al Karama metro station. A supermarket sells cheap water and drinks a minutes walk to the left. Standard room was reasonable size and clean. However we did have a leaky bathroom floor drain and did see a tiny gekko in the room. Free wired Internet in the room but free wifi in the reception only. Reception always had lots of guests even at 3am at night. 1 free water on first day but not given on following days. Tea and coffee given though but no water. Receptionists a bit slow and always long queues. Used their taxi service which was more expensive than normal taxis. They offer free shuttle to beach and shopping centres including Dubai mall. Overall I would stay again for the price.

Would stay againPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Free wifi and ATM In lobby and nicely sized, clean rooms
Location: Close to metro, cheap taxi trip to Dubail mall and a hop skip and a boat trip away from gold and spice souk in Deira.
I enjoyed my stay at Citymax Bur Dubai. Staff were nice, room was clean and had sufficient amenities. Only gripe Was the roof of my bathroom leaked on and off during my stay. Everything else was pleasing and I would choose to stay there again.

Really badPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Will never ever go here again. Hotel was full of teens going partying every night. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything outside and nothing but loud teens laughing and joking everywhere. Not a very safe place to be. Do not recommend going here unless you want to go partying than you'll have a blast

Dubai budget HotelPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
i made this trip at a busy time in Dubai so all the usual hotels I use were at a very high rate. I selected the CityMax on the basis of price and was not disappointed in it. While its quite far from the nearest metro to walk or to the nearest mall (Burjuman) taxis in Dubai are not very expensive. Avoid the hotel offered taxi though, the are 50% higher than a metered taxi. The rooms in this hotel are well appointed but quite small by Dubai standards - however, the room has everything you would need - coffee, tea making, fridge, desk, 32" TV and safe. I will stay here again if the price is good!
