Clean and convenientPosted Mar 3, 2014
I spent my second (last) last night here after a not-so-good experience in a two star hotel; so may be this one was a life safer for me. The other one was 30% cheaper but easily one third of quality of Citymax. I recommend this hotel, not only because it is new, clean and comfortable, but also it is very conveniently located with easy access to many landmarks in Dubai. Don't take a taxi; use metro. It is fast and easy. The hotel staff was kind and helpful. The room was clean well equipped. Towels really as white as I required. The only disadvantage was the poor noise isolation of the windows as the street is loud ans busy. Ask for a higher floor room, mine was at the first floor but it gave me the advantage of connecting to free wi-fi from my room; which is normally only accessable in the lobby. In the rooms have free cable internet connection or paid wi-fi. I would definitaly stay there again; it was comparatively exact value for what I paid.

Hotel close to attractions.Posted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Close to attractions and Al Karama.
Checked in late and there were no rooms avaialble although I paid for my late check-in. Bathroom tub was clogged!!! Cleaning crew knocks on door at 4.00 AM (yes AM) for room service. Ridiculous service.

Citymax, Bur DubaiPosted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: the price was ok, and they dont give you a hard time to have visitors
Cons: bigger rooms, and bigger beds. internet that works, heating system
Location: its in Bur Dubai so its pretty central to everything, The metro, food, nightclubs, are all very near as well as the financial area. Taxis are plenty
not a bad hotel. However I did have to switch rooms because the internet in my room didnt work. Also it was cold in there and apparently theres no way to adjust the temp to make it warmer. The only thing you can do is turn off the AC and let the room warm naturally. The Im not sure what it is about that hotel but it seems like all the Russian visitors in Dubai stay there. Everything down to the newspapers are in Russian. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different.

Poor value for even a 3 star!Posted Dec 6, 2013
You walk into a smoking environment the moment you step inside the glass doors of the hotel. What a first impression! Towels will give you a feel they have been recycled million times. The lobby restaurants are overpriced. Small rooms. And decor is third class. Cleanliness is questionable.

Location is accessible to a place you want to go.Posted Nov 27, 2013
The service and hotel is great however for a deluxe room bed shoud not be two twin bed together. A queen bed is much better.

Good budget hotel - right locationPosted Nov 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room is located in the heart of the city. I stayed here for 4 nights and found the room to be clean. However, the size of the room is small. There are no toileteries except for a wall mounted soap dispenser. Linen and beds were good.

Not Bad at allPosted Nov 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel location was really good - quite central and close to the Gold souk, Dubai Mall, Financial Centre which were my interest points. Hotel can be quite busy, and getting the attention of the reception may sometimes involve more that one phone call to the concierge. The free wired internet in the room was a major plus for me, as well as the reasonably priced buffet services offered at the hotel restaurants. On the whole, a basic, no frills hotel with all I needed.

close to metro station and Burjuman mallPosted Nov 18, 2013
The hotel is a nice, solid 3 star property. It's a short walk to the metro station and the Burjuman mall. Good faculties in the hotel with a supermarket about 3 blocks away. Ask for a high floor and back room or inward facing. The hotels bar gets very loud and smoky on the weekend.
