Good value hotel

Posted May 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is well located next to the Mall of Emirates, which has great shopping and good restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need for a good value for money hotel. The only issue is that achieving simple tasks take a lot of patience and time when dealing with hotel staff. Unfortunately, simple requests seem to challenge them and take a long time to resolve.

Room was small, basic but comfortable

Posted May 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was small, basic but comfortable. Location is OK with Mall Of Emirates and train station 200 metres away across the road. Bars sadly do not cater / provide an area for non-smokers so if you want to use them you have to put up with secondary smoking. Be wary of taxis. Some of them will try to take you round the houses and fleece you, so know where you are going in relation to where you are and use the map and GPS on your phone to monitor your trip. Get local Etisalat SIM from stall under escalator, just past food court as you enter Mall from hotel. For trips to airport, downtown etc. hotel reception people, who are all very friendly and helpful, will advise you of likely taxi fare. Dubai is not the best place to visit but if you don't mind the expensiveness, like generic modern mall shopping and pretty much guaranteed dry heat, then you'll no doubt enjoy yourself.

Walking distance from the metro station.

Very easy check-in check-out process which is good. It does not cause inconvenience ti hotel guest. Hotel staff are warm and friendly. The only thing that is lacking is the use of Wi-Fi in the room. Guests needs to stay in the hotel lobby for free Wi-Fi.

Close to Mall of the Emirates. Room was OK but small bed with hard mattress and only one pillow. Safe deposit box in room not working but they were able to fix it after 3 attempts. Check-in took ages but for no apparent reason. Breakfast buffet was ok and reasonably priced.
