Pros: Walking distance from Metro Station.
Cons: Night female Receptionist staff could do with improving their customer services skilss.
Location: Downtown so easy access to a lot of areas.
Nightclub plays loud music till early hours of the morning which could be heard on 5th floor making sleeping very difficult. Room did not look like a four star hotel. Cupboard doors & bathroom doors were mis-alligned & could not be shut properly. Bathroom light could not be switched off & with the door not shutting, light was visible in the bed room at night making sleeping more difficult. Wifi VERY expensive, 60 Dhs per day for one device. Housekeeping staff very friendly and efficient.

hotel stayPosted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: In a small room, the bed should not be placed in such a way that it doesn't block one's path and is hard to maneuver around in.
Location: The hotel has an excellent location for touristic sites and the airport
I stayed in this hotel 10 years ago, and it was quite nice. This time around, however, the room was very disappointing. The staff were courteous and excellent, but the room was very disappointing. It was very small, and the carpet seemed so dirty that I didn't want to walk barefoot on it. Because of the smallness of the room, I could not maneuver around very comfortably. Also, the A/C didn't work very well. Once again, the staff were all very friendly, however. It was just the room that was a TOTAL disappointment.

Stay at the express if holiday inn is your thingPosted May 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
As far as a holiday inn goes this one was not convenient. It is located in a neighborhood which kept me from walking around. The cost to benefit ratio was terrible. The hotel boasts that it has on site restaurants and a spa. The spa doesn't accept credit cards and the restaurants were closed. There isn't an on site ATM. I ate at the overpriced hotel bar instead.

Nice Hotel for short stayPosted Apr 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
RM 618. Overall I was satisfied with the room but there is room for improuvement. The Staff at the Hotel is Number 1 and willing to help in any way. They are doing the best work with old building. My room was OK. The carpet was old, dirty, and needed a good carpet clean. I found some hairpins under the desk by the window and buttons. The bathroom was showing early stage of wood rotting around the door frame. Surface mold on the wall of the shower which could be removed by a good scrub. Yellow residue in the little indent of the floor. The pool area was nice but not enough lounge chairs to go around. I was located on the 6th floor and I was still hearing the disco music from the bar below. I couldn't imagine being on the lower floors and having to deal with that. The lounge was nice and service was really good. Subway, Red Train, was just minutes around the corner and for 4.5 AED or $ 1.25 us is really cheap. The taxis start at 3.5 AED and are metered. If anyone does not use the meter get out. The Dubai Creek Golf Course is 2.5 Km or 1 mile from the Hotel and prices are around 180 US for a round with cart. The largest mall in the world is accessible by Subway through a transfer to the Green train. My stay for 3 nights was 450.00 US. Eventhough there was some negative comments let me assure you that the Hotel is nice and Staff No 1. Now if they could bring the music down a notch if would make it that much better.

Not impressed and not 4 star!Posted Apr 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
As Holiday Inns go this is one of the older ones showing its age. It's just a 3 star not 4. Its showing its age and the facilities; pool, gym and sauna are basic and poorly attended. The bars and clubs within the hotel are seedy and the breakfast basic with fruit juice from a machine and 'fresh' fruit from the can. Definitely not worth the price avoid if possible

The steam room and sauna needs to be clean and remodeled. Its not satisfactory and was not working well. This is a muslim country so why was there alcohol in the rooms? I think if guests want to drink alcohol they should supply themselves and not the hotel.
