Pretty GoodPosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, location, friendly staff.
Cons: Needs free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Location: Deira City Centre is right across the street. There's a nice park with a walking track right behind the hotel.
The hotel was pretty good. However, I can't for the life of me understand why in 2013 some hotels still don't have Wi-Fi in the rooms. There's Wi-Fi in the lobby only... so you'll see 10 - 30 people down there at all times playing on their tablets & smartphones. The food in the restaurant is pretty good, and so is the ice cream. The close proximity to the metro makes it a major convenience. Also, a mall is right across the street. The barber shop on the ground floor is really good. There's a nice bar in the adjoining hotel (Novotel), with live music on some nights. If you're going to take the Dubai Metro from the airport to get to this hotel, take the Jebel Ali line to the Deira City Centre station. Once you exit the train, go to exit #4. Once you get to ground level (outside), hook around to the left & follow that sidewalk for about 300 meters and Ibis Hotel is right there after the Turkish restaurant on the same side of the street. For reference, Deira City Centre will be across the street on your right. The metro is a lot cheaper than taxis, and it hits Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, & Mall of the Emirates, among other hotspots.

Dubai Ibi Deira CityPosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
close to Metro and airport, Internet even with cable/LAN not a strong signal, nice room, clean, good hotel restaurants, staff could work a bit faster, for check in and paperwork in general, overall I would stay there again if the price for a room is ok

Cons: puting safe in room.
Nice clean Hotel. Good location. Close to Airport and shopping centre. Friendly, efficient reception and housekeeping staff Rooms should have safes - tourists do not want to walk around with all their valuables.

Nice'proximity to center of activitiesPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Like the friendliness and the gentility of the staff. The breakfast that is served upto 12 noon. The fair price of meals generally was appealing.
Cons: Reclassify the rooms. Double room should have atleast queen size bed and should have enough space for two adults.
Location: Location is good. There is city centre shopping mall oppsite. Easy access to metro line so can cheaply go round the time.
The hotel overall is good for the price. The food is reasonably priced. The staffs are very friendly. The double room is too small to be considered double. The double bed is a single bed.

A simple, clean, budget hotel that's right across the street from Deira City Center and its metro stop. The neighborhood is mostly business-oriented so it's quiet and safe. There's a gazillion restaurants and cafes in the mall, as well as a massive Carrefour hypermarket, so it's really convenient. It's not really luxurious, but that's not what I was looking for. Totally recommended.

The hotel is in a prime location, close to the Airport and heart of city. Very cooperative and efficient staff from house keeping to the managerial levels.

Location the main assetPosted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: The location with the Deira City Centre shopping mall across the road as well as the metro station nearby.
Cons: The service needs to be more personal. There are no porters to assist with the luggage of guests. The breakfast was expensive and bland.
Location: There is the Deira City Centre shopping mall which can cater for most people's needs in terms of shopping as well as feeding and entertainment.
The hotel from our experience was very average. The first thing we noticed was that there were no porters to assist with our luggage to the rooms. This proved costly to us on our departure when we forgot one of our belongings outside our room; something that probably wouldn't have occurred if we had the assistance of a porter. The rooms though clean were rather small. On the plus side the rooms were soundproof and we had no disturbance from noise. The close proximity to the mall made us it's daily customer and with the metro station nearby, transportation around Dubai didn't pose a problem. The breakfast was rather expensive for what was offer; bland with little or no variety each day. The hotel staff too tended to be rather distant from their guests.
