beautiful hotel, close to the beach family friend

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: the beach and the staff were helpful
Cons: the computer room was fair way away from the rooms we we staying that should be closer to the guest rooms.
Location: the best thing was it was close to the beach and they had programs for kids however it was fair way from malls and other shopping staff.
It was the best hotel for me and my family. My kids went kids club and enjoy playing crakit and camel riding and making T-shirts while I enjoyed going swimming and doing spa.

Fantastic 2 week break.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Everything? Food, area, décor, loads of sun beds! on the beach, very restful and a perfect relaxing break etc We will be back!
Cons: Better outside lighting. Children's dinning areas.
Location: Things to do in the near by area outside the hotel compound: the courtesy bus is a must to visit the Malls.
We booked this hotel for a 50th birthday and 25th wedding anniversary present too ourselves; also a well deserved rest from our busy working lives and we were not disappointed. There was no towel reserving on sun beds, the food was fantastic, plentiful, varied, served by enthusiastic, polite staff. Also staff went above and beyond there job roles. [House keeping staff, bar staff, waiting on staff, umbrella/sun bed attendants etc etc. The hotel is directly on the beach, which is lovely for a stroll.

Steps from pool to own private beach.

Pros: - Clean - Friendly and helpful staff - Modern - Free wifi - Free shuttles from and to most malls
Cons: Lower the cost of buffets would be nice.
Their dinner buffets were over priced but overall I'm really happy with everything. I could not say 'No' to this hotel. Welcome drinks and biscuits, also free drinks around the lobby in the mornings. They let us check in early and check out late, superb service.

Excellent hotel in great location

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: It was a away from the heart of Dubai central so was quieter, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to various locations around the city
Location: Must do's - take a trip to 'Shooters' bar and try pistol shooting, visit the waterpark at the Atlantis hotel, and take a trip up the Burj Khalifa!
Just returned from a week in Dubai, hotel was excellent and we had a great relaxing time The hotel, facilities and attentive staff made the stay very enjoyable Selection of restaurants and food quality was excellent Loads of open space, and the first hotel I've stayed at that didn't require an early morning trip to reserve sunbeds by the pools - there were plenty of options and more than enough to go around Although travelled as a couple, the hotel looked to cater for kids very well keeping them occupied with a number of organised activities

Hotel with a difference

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: everything
Stayed here for 5 nights for a 50th birthday treat, its about 30 minutes from Dubai itself but don't let that put you off, this is a superb all-round holiday resort its got everything. Arriving on 25th July it was ramadam they don't serve alcohol till 8 o'clock at night but that's it, basically did not affect me at all. Its a big resort and only being there for 4 days did'nt really use everything on offer but the restaurants we did use were fantastic quality, all the staff are friendly and polite and go out of their way to make it enjoyable as possible. We were all-inclusive and that benefited me cause i like a drink, but if you have to pay its £7 a pint, £12 double Vodka/coke, £10 glass of wine, and a 3 course meal will set you back £35 not including drinks. The shuttle the hotel Provides in to town is a good service and will bring you back at certain times, but we got a taxi back to save hanging around at a cost of £11. All in had a fantastic time well worth it and the weather well 42 degrees hardly broke sweat!!!!

Pros: Breakfast & dinner buffets were very good.
Cons: Facilities & service
Location: The location is along way from Dubai however there is a free shuttle bus. There are activities within the resort but being July it is too hot.
We arrived at 2am and the first room we occupied had wet carpet from a leaking air-conditioning unit, we called reception & they sent someone with a towel. Advised they would need more than a towel. Instead of moving us to another room an air-con engineer was then sent up. After being fixed we were expected to stay in a room with wet carpet. I had to asked to be moved to another room. The second room had a faulty air-con, fridge not working properly with fruit & champagne left in the room from a previous guest. By this stage we gave up & slept as it was 3am. The next morning at 10am we asked reception to arrange to fix all the problems. Arriving back at the hotel at 6.30 nothing had been resolved. Complained to staff again. We took the fruit/champagne to reception and spoke to the manager. He then sent an air-con engineer which he was able to make the room more comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel due to poor service & facilities. A good air-con is a must in Dubai.
