Hotel with a differencePosted Aug 3, 2014
Stayed here for 5 nights for a 50th birthday treat, its about 30 minutes from Dubai itself but don't let that put you off, this is a superb all-round holiday resort its got everything. Arriving on 25th July it was ramadam they don't serve alcohol till 8 o'clock at night but that's it, basically did not affect me at all. Its a big resort and only being there for 4 days did'nt really use everything on offer but the restaurants we did use were fantastic quality, all the staff are friendly and polite and go out of their way to make it enjoyable as possible. We were all-inclusive and that benefited me cause i like a drink, but if you have to pay its £7 a pint, £12 double Vodka/coke, £10 glass of wine, and a 3 course meal will set you back £35 not including drinks. The shuttle the hotel Provides in to town is a good service and will bring you back at certain times, but we got a taxi back to save hanging around at a cost of £11. All in had a fantastic time well worth it and the weather well 42 degrees hardly broke sweat!!!!

Not RecommendedPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Breakfast & dinner buffets were very good.
Cons: Facilities & service
Location: The location is along way from Dubai however there is a free shuttle bus. There are activities within the resort but being July it is too hot.
We arrived at 2am and the first room we occupied had wet carpet from a leaking air-conditioning unit, we called reception & they sent someone with a towel. Advised they would need more than a towel. Instead of moving us to another room an air-con engineer was then sent up. After being fixed we were expected to stay in a room with wet carpet. I had to asked to be moved to another room. The second room had a faulty air-con, fridge not working properly with fruit & champagne left in the room from a previous guest. By this stage we gave up & slept as it was 3am. The next morning at 10am we asked reception to arrange to fix all the problems. Arriving back at the hotel at 6.30 nothing had been resolved. Complained to staff again. We took the fruit/champagne to reception and spoke to the manager. He then sent an air-con engineer which he was able to make the room more comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel due to poor service & facilities. A good air-con is a must in Dubai.

Wonderful Retreat away from the CityPosted Jul 29, 2014
I booked two rooms at this hotel for 24 - 27 July for a friends reunion. I had booked the main hotel building and got a bargain of £50 per room per night. However when I got there my friend and I had both been upgraded to junior suites at the Palm Tree Court part of the resort free of charge as the main building was under refurbishment and would not be ready for our stay. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive on the way to the hotel in the taxi as I hadn't realised it was so far from the city. However the peace and tranquility of the beautifully landscaped grounds and the comfortable rooms soon dispelled any doubts. This place really was the perfect retreat. It has several pools and its own 800m stretch of beach, with lots of sunbeds either pool or beachside. The staff are great, so attentive and polite. There are golf buggies to ferry you about the resort if like us your room is far from reception etc and it's 42 degrees! There are all sorts of activities; golf, shooting, horseriding and a very nice spa. Free coaches are run to and from the big shopping malls, and Atlantis the Palm, so you are able to have the best of both worlds. I could not fault this place and had a wonderful weekend. I would definitely return and would reccomend it to friends. Whether or not I would ever strike it lucky with free room upgrades again is another story!

Beautiful sceneryPosted Jul 20, 2014
When we were immediately upgraded to a room in the Palm Tree resort when we checked in. The room was beautiful and the beach view was awesome. There were peacocks roaming freely throughout the resort. We are Muslim and we visited during the holy month of Ramadhan in which we fast from sunrise to sunset... Our package included free breakfast but started after sunset. We were able to switch our breakfast buffet to a free suhoor (pre dawn meal)!!!! There are several restaraunts and room service on the facility to choose from so when it was tine to break fast there were no issues. The food was excellent. There is a shooting range, horse back riding, several pools and so many more amenities!!! This was a beautiful experience and I would have loved to stay longer. Side note: Please be aware that this resort is about a 30 min can ride from the airport but well worth the travel!!!

Weekend Golf TripPosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The Breakfast buffet was second to none, fantastic!!
Cons: The vehicle parking and entrance where you check in is a little congested.
Location: Secluded, but not too far away, shuttle provided to malls and attractions.
Nice secluded resort, that is close enough to the attractions. Shuttle is provided to shopping malls and attractions, we did not use the shuttle as we had our own transportation. The hotel was under renovations so we were only in the "condo" type of accommodations. The construction was not a bother at all. The morning buffet is fantastic!!! One of the best I have ever experienced. We golfed at the major courses in Dubai, the resort was only a 20-25 minute drive to the Jumeirah area.

Excellent StayPosted Jul 17, 2014
Me and my wife stayed at this Hotel for 1 night, and it was amazing. They were renovating the Garden rooms, so they upgraded us to Suite. The Room was so spacious, and very clean and amazing. They have 4 different pools with bars, and an amazing beach front. The breakfast was also a 5* level. Recommend this hotel, and will definitely visit again.
