Trip through memory lane
I lived in the Legacy Hotel Apartments for 10 months in 2008/9. I thought it would be fun to revisit for a night in 2016. It hadn't changed. The rooms were clean and comfortable though a bit dull and old fashioned. Plenty of space and friendly staff. Glad I did that trip!

Decent hotel, good enough to get by. Not the best
Not the best by any means. Has everything you need to get by. Minor niggles like loose shower heads, loose tap, noises audible from neighboring room through bathroom vent. Great position next to Metro station! Supermarket on same block and some restaurants. Get what you pay for.

We didn't like our stay there at all.
No wifi in the room(it said it on the description but I didn't notice it) Outdated and old furniture Broken equipment in the gym which only had 4-5 items to use and very small pool on the rooftop.

Review
Stayed for 1 week, apartment very clean fresh towels and room made up daily. Pool much smaller than we thought. Hairdryer provided in bathroom but unless your hair is very short take your own takes ages to dry. Walk out of hotel and 5 mins to the metro was great for getting about. Would stay again.

Not family friendly
Considering this hotel apartment was for a family, there was only 2 chairs, cups, plates, towels etc and no bedding for the children. Reception were contacted about 10 times to rectify this and to their credit this was quickly rectified, however we faced a daily battle with the cleaner who kept on taking away the extra chairs, towels etc. The staff were friendly enough. The Tecom area is for accommodation only, there is nothing there however the hotel is 200m from the nearest Metro station which is really handy.

Pretty much an average hotel.
Great clean room, nice city view. Average staff who seem to mind their business. But have to request for toiletteries every other day. Refrigerator was never stocked and tea items in short supply...you just have to ask all the time. Ask, and you shall receive, lol. Overall, pleasant experience for me and my wife.

Good place to stay
My stay in Legacy Apartment Hotel was good but my main complain is their wifi is weak. There is a convenient store, across the street but there is difficulty in finding a good restaurant near the Hotel but taking the train is convenient to places of Malls and other locations for lunch or dinner

Family Visit
This was in the prime spot for us to be out and about on our own and for when we went to visit the family in The Layan Community Village. Staff were always polite even checking in late was no problem. Going on the metro was easy as the station was a two minute walk away. Will stay again when visiting the family.

The hotel looks ok from the outside and it is very close to the train station, also the staff was very friendly. But that is it, I have to say that this hotel is nasty dirty!!!! the tiles in the bathroom had mildew, the floor was gross, the kitchen counters were dirty, the bed foot cover was nasty etc etc etc. I have never been in a hotel so disgusting, even the pool area was gross. I will say stay away from this place unless they start paying attention to the cleaning crew.

The apartment looks ok but not wow. I thought it will be new and shiny same as in the pictures but I was disappointed The furniture looks old. the mats were a bit dirty and over used. The staff were OK and they provided to us every thing that we need.

Great price and location for the train
Best price and very large comfortable apartment. 2 minute walk to train and 2 stops to Mall of the Emirates. Area has lots of restaurants and a small Carrefour within a few minutes walk. Great value for money. Took the Executive Suite and had water views. Friendly staff. Will use it again.

Good budget hotel apprtment for a week stay.
Staff was friendly, honest. I left my IPad on way to airport. Staff called taxi driver to inform me about it. We returned and picked up the IPad.

Gym equipment old and or broken. Rooftop pool is tiny. Strange smell permeates the whole building. Sauna broken. Must pay for WiFi access. 100 Dirhams for 1 hour...are they serious?

We got a free upgrade from a 1-bed to a 2-bed apartment. The room was of high standard, very nice, had everything you would need for a 5-night stay.

The sales office doesn't work 24/7 and it took a lot of time to check in and to extend. The reception staff are not delegated to handle the sales work in the night time. Other than this the hotel is amazing

delayed check-in...reason was lack of housekeeping staff but upgraded us to an executive suite which was very kind of them:-) there was a false fire alarm around 4 in the morning and no valid explanation was given to the guests and there was a commotion at the reception but there is only 1 staff to attend to us all disappointed guests.

Stayed for 12days with my family and we enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is also close to the metro and so getting to all the fun places was quite easy. Taxis are easily available if you decide not to go with the metro. Not too much variety offered in terms of food if you want to depend on the hotel. However, a kitchen is provided and one can always prepare meals to one's taste. My children enjoyed the stay. The apartment was very comfortable and we had a nice view from the living room. Overall, I was satisfied with the service - good value for money.

The rate offered by Hotels.com was great. My work was in Jebel Ali free zone and this was a good location for me to travel. Metro station close by was an advantage. Friendly and helpful staff. Room amenities and facilities are reasonable. I would have preferred if the rate was a bit more with free Internet provided. The Hotel having its own parking which can be accessed with your room key was something I liked as well.

The apartment block has well-proportioned rooms with a high standard of finishing but is looking rather jaded now. The pool is a small plunge pool on the roof, the gym is tiny and the steam room has apparently not worked for some time. Hotels.com site says in-room massage available but it was not. Convenient for Internet City or Knowledge Village without paying top hotel prices. Acceptable supermarket nearby and well-proportioned kitchen so cheap option for long stay.

it's a bit dark and there seem to be people living in the apartments so the halways were a bit smelly with ethnic foods. Overall for our purposes it was great becasue with 2 small children and grandma we were all comfortable.

Hotel Legacy in Dubai
The hotel was excellent write next to the metro/tube station which was conveninent to get into Dubai central- There was a supermarket down the road 3 mins walk. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Also had burger king across the road 2 min walk. The Appartment had 3 toilets which was useful with kids. Kitchen facilities were excellent. The kids and I made good use of the swimming pool. This hotel has a good location and we used the metro everyday had it been further away from the station then things would have been difficult for us as kids did not enjoy walking too much. You can use the NOL card which is like Oyster and you can top up each day depending on journeys made. We used to top up 10 to 20 Dirhams max. The hotel had dessert saffari which we booked via the hotel and well worth it. Also has pick and drop to the airport.
