“Great Customer Service”

This is a five star hotel and it lived up to its billing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and we never got the feeling that it was because they wanted a tip. In fact, tipping is not expected and appreciated when given. The rooms are very nice and are turned over at least twice a day. The hotels location is great and in the middle of a lot of activity. The hotel had shuttle service to the big malls, which was convenient and allowed us to take a taxi if we wanted to go somewhere else. The business center is small and to use their internet can get expensive as they charge per minute. The hotel provides vouchers and shuttle service to a private beach that is secluded and beautiful. There are taxis waiting next to the hotel so you never have to wait in the heat for one. Though the staff is very friendly their knowledge of local life other than tourist areas is limited as most are not from Dubai, so do some pre-planning if you want to know about local customs and life. Still, this is the best hotel experience we ever had and at a great price.

I hane been to Dubai with my friends, and we have booked our stay at Shangri-la Hotel Dubai. We have booked 3-rooms appartment. It has a huge living room with modern furniture but the TV was small to the living room and it wasn't LCD. the master room very big one, and the bathroom well orgnized and full of space. the hotel was 10 out of 10

“I wish I could live there!!”

I took the option of the executive upgrade which was a great addition. My days started with a faboulous breafast buffet that included hot and cold items plus eggs, pancakes etc. made to order was a great way to start my day and I was usually so full I skipped lunch. The evening happy hour was just as good and included hot appetizers, fruit, cheese, juices and open (mix it yourself) bar. Unlimited internet was a convienient perk and it seemed that the folks who were there for business liked the convenience of the private concierge. The room was actually too big for my liking but always promptly cleaned well. I assume every room has a copy of _Lost_Horizen_ which if you have not read it is a fantastic vacation read and of course tells the story of Shangri-La. I got a facial and massage at the in house spa and relaxed by the pool one evening. I can truely say that this hotel and its amenities were central to my having a WONDERFUL vacation.

“Feeling at Home”

Had to upgrade to an Exec Floor Suite for a surcharge. the room I initially booked smelled paint. The Suite was good. Requested the hotel to send me hotel car at the airport, the arrangement was great, arrived the hotel and evry body calls you by name starting from hotel doorman and get you to check in at your room without stopping at the reception desk. Good feeling of being at home.

“Fantastic Centraly located”

Awesome service. Starbucks is one block away. Great for a business or vacation. highly recommend. Rooms are large, staff very friendly.

“Great Hotel in Dubai!!!”

Going to Dubai on a business trip April 2011 I had thousands of hotels to choose from, but I still wanted to go to a Shangri-La because I know exactly what a great stay and service I get there. The location is great if you for example want to combine Deira gold soukh and city centre mall, karama etc with the Dubai Mall and fountain area. This hotel also has one of the best clubs in town; the Ikandy, with a friendly staff, they serve snack food and shisha, blended with lounge style music from a DJ. Remember dress code, many rich locals drop by here. The pool is also so great with a beautiful view of the mighty Burj Khalifa. If you are up for some more luxury book the Club Horizon and you can swim almost on the top floor, and there is a secret spot on top with a few sunbeds around 300m above the ground. The view of the city at night up here is simply amazing!

“One of Dubai's conveniently located hotels”

Very nice and clean rooms. very hospitable staff. Nice view of the world's tallest skyscraper. I recommend it without hesitation
