Disappointing

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Central location
Cons: Provide the deck chairs, towels and umbrellas to your guests who prefer to use the beach to the pool.
Location: Both Malls very close to the Sofitel and new food chains have opened up such as The Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs etc.
Enjoy the beach in Dubai however you need to carry your towels and mats from the hotel to the beach then rent the umbrella from the Sofitel.

Excellent location. Two min walk to the beach

The hotel is immaculate and the location is amazing. Has cinema close by, Krispy Kreme, menchies, sephora, Cinnabon, boots, KFC and opposite the cheese cake factory which has just opened. The hotel had a beach view where a new island is being built. The room had a shower, toilet and bath tub which had double doors leading to the bedroom. The room was stunning with a small but comfortable balcony. Staff were brilliant.

Pros: Service and staff very helpful. bedrooms excellent
Location: Lots of shops and restaurants about so could walk to these easily.
lovely stay in a great hotel. bedroom was really well kept and comfy bed. Housekeeping very attentive. The only downside was pool area a little cramped; but as it was July could always find a sunbed. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Sea view of upper floor wonderful

Design of bathroom a bit weird as it includes a bath a walk shower but they left a small part for the toilet with a separating glass that was not very good.

Excellent hotel, beach, lots nearby food choices

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Researched on internet and have a son that lives in Dubai
Cons: More than happy with the service, got a really fair deal through Expedia and choice of good flying times, so will look here first again.
Location: Excellent location, on main Jumeirah Beach Walk, lots shops, restaurants, near beach, and beach side walk has lots to do too. Prime area to stay
Really enjoyed stay at Sofital Jumeirah Beach Hotel, warm welcomiing, helptul professional staff, stayed in superior twin room, so comfortable, absolutely fabulous bathroom, lots of free bottled water and tea/coffee in room. Pool looked a little small but was a joy to go in, and got to have a cocktail on the in pool seats. Took advantage of free shuttle bus to Malls. Walk outside hotel and lots of restaurant, coffee shops to hand, go down one street to beach front and great food there too, check out Eggxpectations, and massive outdoor cinema experience. Tip - research brunches before go - if want good food, book Saffron friday brunch at the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm, short taxi ride (fair prices). Some one told me about Dupper (think spelled right) which was a Thursday evening brunch (all food and drink included for a set good price). Book to go up Burj Khalifa when the water fountain shows is on (evening one was around 9.15 -9.30) and can watch from above as well. Delighted that I booked through Expedia as their offer of room and flight deal was excellent. Brilliant flight times and with Emirates - would recommend.

Unexpected pleasure

Posted Jul 5, 2014
The hotel was of a better standard than expected and very close to the beach. We arrived 5 hours early (flight timings) and were able to check in (without charge) and relax. The room was great with rainfall shower and bathtub and speakers. 4 bottles of complimentary water in a hot climate is also welcome. Only downside was the food in the restaurants was expensive, but comparable to others. During Ramadan it was a necessity though.

Lovely hotel close to Beach, shops and restaurants

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Had a lovely 4 night stay , all staff very friendly and helpful . Room clean and a good size with sea view which was located on the 8th floor. A little noise due to construction while sat on the balcony it not in the room. Only downside ! pool not very big so I was unable to swim due to being crowded. Also problems with finding a sun bed any time in the day especially in the mornings .On one occasional I had to wait nearly an hour to move to one in the sun.
