I Love it!Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: I loved everything about this hotel.
Cons: I would like to be able to bring the pillows home with me!
Location: Fabulous location. Walk over to Dubai Mall through Souk Madinat. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and of course the amazing tallest building.
I had a wonderful time at this hotel and so glad I chose it. I was on my own and felt very comfortable. The staff are exceptional. They would go out of their way to help me with advice on where to go and what to see and how to get there. Valentine and Christian were particularly helpful and they are all so charming. The décor is beautiful, the rooms are not huge but oh so comfortable, the food was delicious, and I enjoyed the music in the evenings. It is a vibrant hotel. I will definitely be back :)

Bijou boutique hotel in Downtown DubaiPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the friendly staff and and the high quality of the furnishings.
Cons: Construction caused noise all day long. Bathrooms have minimal privacy - rooms are only suitable for couples or people who are very friendly already!
Location: This hotel is located in the new, upscale Downtown Dubai area. The entire area is pedestrian-friendly and it's easy to walk around.
This is a small and high-quality, jewelbox hotel in the new pedestrian-friendly upscale area of Downtown Dubai. 4.5 stars out of 5. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the interiors are done to a high standard. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and have views of the hotel garden (currently under construction), the pool, or the pedestrian boulevards of Downtown Dubai. Note that the bathrooms have minimal privacy (thin glass doors to the shower and toilet), so you should only share a room with someone who is a close friend or partner. Even then, it might not be enough privacy for everyone! Room service is decently priced and available 24 hours. There is a fun outdoor bar and shisha scene by the pool in the evenings with a DJ, but it's not loud enough to disturb the rooms. The restaurants are also high-quality and quite good by London standards. It's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the Dubai Mall (biggest mall in the world), the Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world), and lots of other restaurants and hotels. I would come back to this hotel, but only if I had a room to myself, due to the minimal privacy of the bathroom. If you are traveling alone, then it would be great.

Lovely hotel but noisy at nightPosted Nov 9, 2013
The hotel is good, as we have taken pool side rooms, although our reservation was for garden view, however reseptionist said its much better, however the worse thing was the noise from the pool night restaurant, we stayed in 6 floor however music was heard loudly,, every thing was ok with the hotel except this part, which makes me not to book again with them

Good location, close to Dubai Mall, Boutique HotelPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Good location Smells amazing Food and drinks are great happy hour 5-8 Fatima was very helpful at check in
Cons: Bar customer service Please put a folder in the room with all the hotel info. Interdepartmental communication
Location: Dubai mall Burj Khalifa Lots of place to eat close to hotel in road outside Ski Dubai was good too short taxi ride go in the morning
We tried to check in early, but our suite was not ready , we were told the room was vacant and would be cleaned for us, so we waited, and waited, as it turned out it was not vacant, so after 2 hours we were given another room to rest and shower in which was great, as we were there several hours earlier than check in. Thank you Fatima, much appreciated. Later that evening we asked for our sons bed to be madd up/ pulled out from the sofa and went out 3 hours later on return still not done, told reception and went for a drink in the bar returned to the room, still not done, 3 rd time lucky!! The power shorted in our room, called reception, we're still waiting !! My husband found the power box and fixed it!! We had drinks and food in the area food was great, service not so. All the i We booked through Expedia and on our confirmation had stated return transport to airport , (we arrived by taxi)when we asked about this for our return to the airport, we were told it was not on our booking showed reception and concierge the written confirmation but this was not honored - was a disappointing end to the stay! On the whole I loved Vida, it has a great relaxed vibe , however we had a few service issues and having worked in hospitality I am probably more empathetic to situations however my husband was frustrated as it seemed to be one small thing after another and he expected more considering the star rating and price paid.

I loved the "transformation"Posted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The new look.
Cons: I didn't like the I-Pad check-in. I like a real computer on a real desk.
Location: It's in the new Dubai Downtown; close to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Need I say more?
I loved what they've done to the hotel. The rooms are better-lit, better laid-out, and have a welcoming feel. The looby is now more inviting and very comfy. And the new resturant-lounge is just fantastic!

Excellent ChoicePosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Everything. The rooms, the staff, the service, interactive TV, child cot with free child shampoos.
Cons: The hotel is new, so I hope the staff will keep up the good work.
Location: To get to Dubai mall you need a taxi or a 20 minutes walk. Taxi drivers are likely not going to be happy to drive you for such a short distance.
The best choice I made during my stay in Dubai was to book this hotel. It's reasonably priced for the quality/cleanliness of the rooms and service. I'm already recommending this hotel for everyone I meet.
