“Comfortable, clean and quiet”

Deluxe room was relatively spacious, kept very clean. Hotel staff were courteous and efficient. Included breakfast was fine. Good value in this relativley expensive city.

“ascot a good place to be”

i've stayed at the ascot in the past. it has all ways been a place of comfort. comfort in both mind and pocket. the ascot is in the middle of bur dubai. close to shopping and atractions. the hotel is very clean. the rooms are keep and attended to by a wonderful staff. they will help with any thing they can. the house keeping staff always have a smile, and are very personable. the front desk team have a tough job, but they handle it with professionalism and grace. the likes of witch you would expect at a 7 star hotel. i have enjoyed the restaurants and bars as well. for instance the thai/chiness restaurant. you can get a great meal. with large portions, and a couple of drinks for a very good price. in closeing this hotel is one of the better hotels in bur dubai. i would recomend it to other people, and i have many times to friends and family.

“Great service!”

This is the first time I've been to the Middle East, but I thought the service was outstanding. The concierge was very helpful and the hotel shuttle was great. Breakfast is outstanding. The Japanese restaurant on the 5th floor was as good as or better than any I've had... and I'm Japanese. ;) One reviewer said something about a funky moldy smell in the rooms I think, and there was a bit of that. But I've encountered that in hotels here in the states where it is humid and they use the AC a lot. It's not that bad, but some might be more sensitive to it than me. Overall, a terrific experience.

“Great service”

We stayed here 4 years ago & this trip were greeted by the staff who recognised us and asked why we hadn't been back for so long! Check in was efficient (3 hrs early). The "omelette man" at b'fast was great. Taxis are easy to find and the doormen get them while you wait inside with the air con. A taxi ride to Marina at night takes about 20 mins and costs 10-12. The hotel is joined to Elegante nightclub with the best Wednesday night you could ask for! Great crowd, great staff. The only complaint was that it was way too hot! Overall, great location for what was a girly nights out holiday; 10 minute drive to Jumeira beach; friendly & attentive staff; great facilities. Will def stay here again & would recommend for anyone who wants to see the real Dubai & doesn't mind a bit of traffic!

“Weekend R&R”

This was the perfect weekend hotel. It's a bit far from the airport but that's ok. The Irish Pub in the basement and the Japanese Sushi bar on the 5th floor were high points in my weekend there. Very happy with my overall experience. The staff was also very helpful with everything I asked them. Only problem was the bed was really hard.

“Ascot hotel--fair value”

Overall the hotel was very good -reasonable value for the charges involved & within waliking distance of the Creek. However, there is one very big negative about the hotel. This is that Internet access --even with your own computer is ridiculously expensive. Why cannot a hotel of this stature & cost NOT provide free Internet access?

“Close to great shopping”

This hotel is in a great location, shopping malls are very close by. Staff in the hotel are fanastic, extremely helpful and always friendly. Had a problem with our hot water when we first arrived but this was rectified asap. We were given a fruit baskets, easter eggs (as we went during the easter break)and the food (breakfast) the restaurant offered was always very nice and fresh. On the down side, the double room was a little small but was always cleaned very well. I would recommend the Ascot Hotel, to anyone wishing to stay in Dubai as it is reasonably priced. This hotel also offers a fantastic Thai Restaurant called the Thai Connection, which is a must try if you love Thai food, like us.
