“Dubai hotel”

I have stayed in different hotels in Dubai but by far this was the best. It is close to the City Center shopping mall and easy access from the airport. Room was clean and well equiped. Reception was excelent, the service rep was very helpful explaining the hotel and surrounding area. I would stay here again.

Great location - close to the airport and shopping mall, so great for a quick trip passing through Dubai. Hotel staff very friendly and hotel room fantastic. Would recommend and great value for money.

Ok this hotel isnt on the beach but it has a pool and in the notorious Dubai traffic is only a 10 minute ride from the airport! and a 5 minute walk to City Mall.. The Hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and helpful. The rooms were a good size and the balconys more than adequate for 2 people, our room had a good view over the creek. The only downside was the breakfast but from pervious experience in Dubai this seems to be the norm.. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend to our friends..

“Not bad, not special.”

Staff were friendly, location was super (near City Center Mall), but room was nothing special, some small things not working properly. While i wouldn't mind staying there again (because of location), I will not necessarily choose to do so as other hotels in same range offered far better quality for same/less price. But overall ok.

“Dubai Short stay at Capthorne Hotel”

The hotel was nice and close to City Centre Deira. Room eminities need improvement. Choices of pillows will be to the advantage of the hotel pleasing the guests. The basement parking entrance barrier (located at the end of the turnel) should be removed to ease Exit access.

“An inconvient hotel for business travelers”

The hotel room is quite clean, but not well designed for business guests. The LAN port is located next to bed, not by the small desk. There is no power plug by the small desk. Charging laptop or connect it to Internet is extremely difficult. Though the hotel staff told me this is a business hotel, it did not appear to me at all. Taking a shower in the morning was time consuming because water slowly drips down from the shower head. Staff were courteous but apparently not well trained in small things like helping guests based who is in line first. Getting a taxi is almost impossible in the morning due to the bad location of the hotel. I ended up spent a fortune to hire a non-licensed rental car with driver for local transportation.

Customer service was terrible. The stuff are not friendly at all.. No breakfast for expedia users.. Internet is very expensive and no free internet even in the business lounge.. No wireless available in rooms.. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.. The hotel doesn't seem new or recently renovated.

“Not recommended”

Males and females cannot use the swimming pool together (females can use it on a morning and males on an afternoon). This hotel is therefore unsuitable for families who want to use ths facility together. This was not advertised, and we were unaware before arrival. Use of the gym is also segregated in this way.
