“Best budget hotel in Dubai”

After reading reviews on tripadvisor, I was initially a bit concerned about where I had booked for a weeks holiday. However, I must say this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It was clean, had great facilities and friendly staff. The room size was perfect and had a great air conditioning system- a definite must in the heat! The location was excellent- in Bur Dubai (I suppose downtown Dubai). Taxis easy to get hold of and cheap to get around. Hotel also provided a free shuttle bus from the aiport and to the beach. It was perfect. A great hotel in a fab location at an amazing price. I would definitely go again.

“Would recommend for hassle-free stay”

Golden Sands 5 ( one of the ten GS hotel appartment blocks is conveniently located - 15 mins by foot from Bur Juman shopping Mall, short walk from Spinneys, and Lebanese restaurant. Across the street from 24hr minimart. Daily free shuttle to Jumeirah beach leaves at 9.30 returns at 3.30 - costs only 5Dh to access the park/beach - wonderfully clean with good facilities. Shuttles also free go to Airport daily. Two pools, one on roof - small but clean and adequate. Staff are very polite and conscientious, all facilities in appartment clean and worked perfectly. Appartment quiet. Wide choice of viewing on TV. Taxis (mostly) easy to find outside hotel. Only slight disappointment was the quality of the Hotel restaurant food.

“The perfect holiday!”

I would recommend the Golden Sands to anyone especially as it suits a tight budget. The rooms and hotel were exceptionally clean. The bedroom was large with a kitchen area (including washing machine) and a lounge area. The staff were friendly and helpful although do not take what they say as gospel as some tourist information they gave us was wrong! Luckily we checked on the internet too!!Business centre has 2pcs but there is a 3rd thats almost always free opposite the lifts. You can get taxis from outside the hotel (get in the coloured taxis as they are cheaper - the hotel taxis are white and charge more). Airport to the hotel cost about £12 in a taxi as they start at 20dirhams and going back to the airport was about £6. Its a 20min trip. Book the free shuttle bus to the beach as soon as you arrive or before if you can as it books up quick. We couldnt get on it at all but a taxi there was only about £6. There is a small supermarket a 5min walk away. We found it a good location and central to where we wanted to go. We did a cruise down the creek, visit to the burj khalifa (dont miss the fountain displays at 6pm - midnight), Atlantis and the jumeirah beach hotels bars - uptown bar opens at 7pm - brilliant view of the city, and the 360 bar which opens at 5pm (great fish and chips!) and you get an amazing view of the sunsetting behind atlantis and the burj dubai (7* hotel) - incredible!! Enjoy!!

“Perfect holiday apartments”

I stayed in The Golden Sands 5 and i found it the perfect place to stay in Duabi, it was so easy to get around Dubai as there is a taxi rank right outside the hotel. The hotel rooms were kept immaculate and were cleaned every single day. The staff were more than happy to help with any query. Local phone calls were also free which is very useful when booking various things to do. The hotel apartments were also very close to Spinneys the supermarket whereas a lot of other hotels in Dubai are only near corner shops which do not hav much choice and you can also pay over the odds in them. The apartments are within good proximity of the Burjamen Centre where there is plenty of shops and places to grab a bit to eat. Overall i would say execellent hotel and in a excellent location with alot on your doorstep.

“Nice place in Bur Dubai”

Very nice hotel in Bur Dubai area. Rooms are clean and spacious, well appointed with laundry machine, stove, and misc. items. Bed was comfortable. Room service was excellent. Restaurant was very good.

“Price unbeatable”

The price was more than reasonable - the cheapeast by far on our holiday through 5 countries. This was a four star hotel, close to train station, grocery shop and shopping centre. Taxis easily accessible also, and can be flagged down when outside your hotel. Our shower may have needed an up-date, however, the location, service and close proximity to the airport made this a great spot to stay. Not extravagant luxury, however the pool on the top floor was a welcome retreat from the 40 degree outside heat. We had a King Size bed & kitchinette.

“Great Value”

The stay here exceeded my expectations. An older hotel that is not as luxurious as those along Jumeirah Beach or Sheik Zayed Road, but it was clean, spacious, the staff were very helpful and attentive. The ammenities in the room were great - fridge/freezer, washine machine, cooker with all utensils. Not much room on the balcony to sit out there but thats nothing really to complain about. The beds were stripped every day, along with clean towels daily. The hotel restaurant was pretty okay. Nothing special but it done the job for lunch while around the pool at reasonable prices. Overall I had a really great time here and would def recommend.

“excellent choice, Golden sands Hotel no. 3”

We felt excellent during our 3 days stay at Golden Sands no.3. Very friendly staff, excellent service, very clean. Will strongly recommend it to all our friends for Dubai as price/location/service.
