“Great location, exceptional service”

I stayed twice at this hotel this fall. I was very impressed with the staff (who all seemed to remember me when I returned). The pool and health club were great, overlooking the gulf. Good restaurants on site. When the Metro is fully operational, the convenience will be amazing. While no one walks in Dubai, you are close to Knowledge Village, and can walk to Dubai Marina (on cooler - i.e. 30s - days). As each room is a suite, there is lots of space for longer comfortable stays. I recommend this for business or family travelers.

“Great Hotel”

Grand Mid west is a good apartment hotel (much better than any of the other Grand Mid west locations - so be careful which one you book). Service was good and apartment high quality with fantastic views across the Palm (if you request sea view and high floor). Pool is good and excellent gym facility. Also right next to Metro system and on the main road that goes everywhere in Dubai

welcome was great ,staff are friendly ,beautiful views from the 21st floors, will definitely recommend this as a residence anytime for a stayover,the breakfast however could have been more of english style though.

“Worth staying at”

We stayed in a two bed-roomed, 3 bathroom apartment on the 17th Floor (room 1708). The apartment had all the facilities as listed although the DVD player was missing. We didn’t eat at the hotel which has a 24hr restaurant on the first floor. The swimming pools were adequate; the water in the Jacuzzi was a bit tepid. My main criticisms are: No face cloths provided in rooms. All drinking water in bottles is charged for. Not a single one is complimentary. Need more towels in bathroom, families with young children go through a lot of towels? No washing up liquid to do dishes. Housekeeping does not wash your dishes for you! The entrance guests’ use is through the back of the hotel and this is far from elaborate. Then there is the obvious criticism that almost all taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is located. One helpful tip is to take a picture of the hotel on your phone or camera - with the twin towers adjacent to it in shot, and show this to the taxi driver. There is a 24hr supermarket in the BBC building opposite the hotel (you cant miss it!) use this to stock up on essentials. Within 7 minutes walk, past the twin towers, there is also a mini mall with a Starbucks and Gourmet sandwich shop. There is also a gourmet pizza place adjacent to the supermarket open till midnight.

“Middle East Traveler”

I I have stayed at this apartment hotel on several occassions over the past year when traveling in the Middle East. The staff have always been very accommodating, the location serves me well and I have always enjoyed Middle Eastern hospitality. The rooms are spacious and well appointed as well as very clean. Staff in all departments are eager to assist guests. The pool area is very nice offering views of the Gulf. I will continue to stay at this hotel! The staff remember me each time I return and are very happy to provide the level of service I have come to expect.

“Mid West Tower Hotel, Media City, Dubai”

First impression of the hotel was very good, its roughly 35/40 mins by taxi and cost approximatley 65 AED. The staffs are generally very helpful, i was also given a free upgrade on arrival which was rather nice. The downside of the hotel is the restaurent, both the restaurents are very expensive and quality of the food is poor. I would recommend using restaurents outside the hotel.

“Excellent hotel - don't be put off by negative points, deal with them”

The hotel was beautiful however while we booked a 2 bedroomed suite it in fact only had 1 actual bedroom with the other beds positioned within the lounge area - although it would be fair to say there was plenty of room for this. Also we had booked for 4 people but towels were only provided for 2 and one final point is that as we had booked a suite we should have received a basket of fruit, which wasn't given. These are small points and for a 2 night stay they did not cause us any major disruption but points to remember should we look to stay there again, which we would certainly do.

I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel. Very clean, quiet and the price was very reasonable.
