“Be wary of this hotel, if you are a light sleeper”

The Karama hotel is in a good location for the Bur Dubai area, as well as other parts of Dubai. The hotel facilities are good, choice of restaurants and bars, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. The only drawback is that the bars are quite popular and the music is available 7 nights a week until well after midnight. If you are a light sleeper, I would suggest you look elsewhere, for a hotel. Overall, for a economy hotel on a budget, it is a good hotel choice.

“Good for a cheap trip”

Cheap trip but great value for money Use it to sleep over and no more-watch out for the loud club music-Hotel should warn all guests Otehrwise great location, good staff, great variety of food especallially if you like food from the sub continent

“Exactly as advertised”

I have no complaints at all, the Karama Hotel is exactly as advertised. I was looking for an inexpensive hotel with some restaurant and club options and the Karama had exactly that. The room was a bit dated but had everything I needed and was clean enough. The staff were very friendly.

“Not a nice place”

The hotel was inexpensive for Dubai but other places are available that are in the same range that are nicer. The hotel had 2 or 3 night clubs at the ground level that must have partied until at least 3am and they could be heard loud and clear in our room on the 5th floor. There were many Filipino girls circulating around that appeared to be offering their services. The room was clean about like a US motel. Internet was for a fee only. The bellhop was very nice. Only paid parking was available.

“Cheap Stay”

I was only there for about five hours. The bathroom has a strong urine smell. It's out of the way, predominately Indian and Filipino ran. Smoking is pretty much allowed everwhere, hated it! They hold your passport "to gather information" I was told, not real comfortable with that. I just thought I try a cheaper hotel since I was only there for a flight layover, I normally stay at Le Meridian.

“Not impressed”

The room (deluxe on the third floor) was okay, but staff were unhelpful (problems speaking English, refused to call a taxi) and we were subjected to loud music from the downstairs club until 3am (even though the room was on the top floor and supposedly one of the quietest ones available). All in all, not somewhere I would recommend. Especially bearing in mind that rooms are not actually that much cheaper than much nicer hotels like the Sheraton Four Points.
