“Dubai vacation end of April – beginning of May”
We are family with two small children. This hotel is officially rated as 4 star. Although it is visible staff is doing its effort, simply by our view this hotel should be rated with 3 stars. Cleaning was not good. Family room we were given is actually a slightly bigger room with auxiliary beds, usually family rooms have separate bedroom. Room and bathroom was not illuminated properly (it was too dark at the evening/night). Hotel has a shuttle to the beach (15-20min ride), but latest one goes at 8:30am, and returns back at 12:30pm. After that one has to take either public bus or taxi to return.
Hotel is position in Deira district, which is decently close to down town and Dubai Creek (we walked). There are two nice shopping malls near buy, lot of different restaurants, fast food restaurants etc. Deira is more authentic (which we prefer) then e.g. Dubai Marina. If you prefer more “western” style neighborhoods, than chose Dubai Marina, but be aware you would need taxi to see everything else...
Dubai: Too worm (+40), too many jelly fish, too expensive for any shopping (in reality everything is cheaper in Europe)...
There is no walking passage (in construction) from metro to Dubai Mall & Burj Khalifa. Burj Khalifa (the tallest building) is impressive but “sight-seeing” takes you only on 124th floor out of 160 (“200 stories high” including antennas). Do not use “state-of-the art” telescopes; it is total waste of money. Nearby Dubai Fountain is excellent audio-visual experience...
