“Excellant location good facilities”

Service excellant. Opera restaurant a bit too quiet. Used Westin Pool more but only because sun was on there earlier. Barista bar was cheap but a bit tired looking. Front glass door had strange mountain pattern which was a bit odd. Breakfast and tea on Club floor excellant. Overall wonderful experience. location amazing The only real complaint would be the extremely noisy Barista bar disco Thursday night which when I asked reception what time it would finish they said 2 30 am. We were very surprised at this in a 5 star hotel. We would not normally have complained at some disco noise but this was really unbearable and I doubt that the people in there were really enjoying it. The only thing we could do is put on Ipod's to drown out the noise !

“nice stay”

Although the hotel is more than 8 years old, it has a wonderfull beach and a convient location. The club previlages are not worth what you pay for.

“Dubai Marina”

Very good hotel near Dubai marina area. Rooms with balcony are great, a chance to enjoy the view and get some fresh air. Beach is very nice. Hotel staff are good and friendly. Food service was fine as was food quality. So much construction in area that it really isn't safe to try and walk to the restaurant strip in Dubai marina. Lot's of taxis and easy to go to Emirates mall or golf. Only issue is there is an open air night club next door and they play loud music late nights on the weekend (Thursday, Friday). If you need to go to sleep early it might be a challenge.

“Would not go back and cannot recommend”

The hotel was acceptable and the staff are keen to please. The bathroom was not pristine and they had a shower curtain which was grubby. We would never go back to the hotel again and will not recommend friends and family to go owing to the dreadful loud music. They had thumping music playing until 2am every night which was not too loud, however, the night before we were due to fly back, they had very very loud music until 3am. We could not sleep and had to get up at 5.45am to fly back home. I have since been on Trip Adviser and seen other similar comments. Had we not booked at the last minute, we would have carried-out more research and would not have chosen this hotel had we known about the music. We travel a great deal, staying in the best hotels and have never heard such loud music which was very stressful and people go away to de-stress. This loud music is a weekly occurence and sometimes on two nights of the week. If you know about this music, then you really should put a warning on your website. Hotel very expensive for what it was.

“Much Better Next Door”

After a successful stay at the Westin last year (just next door), I decided I'd try Le Meridien. Big mistake. There are a significant number of problems. First, if you have any desire to sleep at decent hours, avoid this hotel. The Barasti bar located below, while great, plays thumping music until 2:30 AM. After several calls that they 'put into management', nothing was done. I am sure they get this complaint very frequently, and a member of the concierge even confirmed that the bar is a bigger focus than the hotel. Second, the infrastructure is seriously outdated. When I checked into my room, compared to the Westin (much newer), I felt like I was back in the 80's. Very poor furniture, bed uncomfortable, no extra shower room, 'dated' look and feel. Finally, the 'club' level and 'Waves' restaurant are both complete disappointmenta. The tea and coffee quality in the club room is quite poor, as is the food. The restaurant is significantly worse than the restaurants at the JBR hotels such as in the Hilton or surrounding area. The pool food quality was also very poor. The biggest positive of this hotel is the service. They are extremely attentive and willing to accommodate, aside from the bar Barasti issue. The bottom line is that you are much better off staying next door in the Westin, even though it is slightly more expensive. The room quality is significantly better, and you can walk to the Barasti bar and then walk back and sleep in peace. Not Le Meridien quality.

“Terrible customer service”

We had a problem with customer service in this hotel. We were charged 98 USD for some sort of "package", which was supposed to include breakfast and shuttle among other things. We had a very early check out time and, obviously, there was no breakfast (and he guy who offered us this package at the reception knew that we won't have breakfast because he also booked a shuttle to the airport for us) Nevertheless, he still insisted that this package was beneficial for us. Also, upon the return home we found out from our travel agency that the shuttle was already included in the room price so we should not have been charged extra. When we called the hotel to ask for reimbursement the lady at the customer service department was very rude and said that if we were not happy with the service provided we shouldn't have paid at check-out but since we signed the check we agreed to all charges. She was outrageous, not customer focused at all. We will not go back for sure.

“NOT a 5 star hotel - needs to be re-classified”

We both come to Dubai often and know the city/hotels quite well. Normally staying in Ritz for leisure and Moevenpick for business. Decided to give Le Meriden Mina Seyahi a chance this time. Totally disappointed. In short: 1. Wrong room was allocated (prepaid for sea view queen/keen size room) and were offered a 1.5 +1 beds (I suppose good for the families with kids, but not for a couple.) Beds are HORRIBLE - they are as comfortable as tables. We did not have a night of decent sleep. 2. Lobby and room decor is extremely dated and dirty at places. Same goes for glass doors with stains. 3. Stuff is trying their best, but poorly trained, i.e. could not make a simple Margarita Cocktail. Drinks on the beach & pool are served in cheapest possible plastic glasses (I understand the safety laws) but there are plenty of options amongst plastic replicas. 4. Food in the hotel itself is atrocious and overpriced. After a bad lunch experience Waves Restaurant , we only risked to have one dinner at the sister property - Westin Hotel next door. 5. Beach is good but the pool is not really big enough and there are not enough sunbeds for the pool (all are in the shade). 6. Most importantly, this seems to be the popular spot on the local social calendar – i.e. the thumping music on Friday night Nov 19 went on until 3 am. That REALLY did not help the relaxation. Overall - the hotel needs the total overhaul if it plans to stay competitive in the service market like Dubai.

“Would not recommend it”

Have stayed in many hotels around the world. This is the worst 5 star hotel. Can not believe they advertise it as a 5 star. It is more a 3 star hotel. I would highly recommend The Westin which is next door, brand new owned by same company.
