“Ideal location”

This hotel is at an excellent location near Union Station where the two metro lines interchange. Also convenient for the Creek, old town and souks. I had not stayed there for a year and yet the staff remembered me. Very friendly.

“A reasonable cheap hotel”

A reasonable cheap hotel. Well located for Deira and Bur Dubai, 200m from Union metro station (which is an interchange for both lines when the green line opens), and not too far to walk to the Abra stations to cross the creek. About 20-30 min walk to the gold souks. However, some of the beds are uncomfortable - I was in a triple room for the first night as the room I should have been in was unavailable, and teh floor would ahve been softer than the matttress! The room I was then moved to, with a double bed, was much comfier. The noise is the main problem - I was on the third floor and could still hear the music from the bar until well into the early hours of the morning, work went on on a nearby contruction site until very late, it is on a busy road with lots of car horns blaring until late, and noise travels easily from the corridor and other rooms - when next door were using the bathroom it sounded like they were in mine; I could even hear teh light switch!

“Got What I paid For.”

Thanks to the reviews of people who had stayed at Panorama, I asked for a room on the 4th floor. (The club on the 2nd floor was rather loud.) The room was fair size, and fairly clean, except there was a lingering musky smell that old buildings sometimes has. The location of the hotel was excellent, with shopping and the Metro right outside the door. For a budget hotel, this hotel is fairly good. You really do get what you pay for.

the hotel was very dirty. the blankets had blood stains on it. no room service. the bath was dirty etc. outside the hotel area near it was smelling.

“What a dump!”

I am in awe and the lows to which this hotel sinks to in order to disturb its guests. First, the room had a smell similar to Eww de Su-er. I had to buy a can of air freshener a day to try to cover the stench. The room size was fine, and the location okay; but the hotel has a nightclub that blasts base-thumping music until three in the morning. If a traveller is looking to actually sleep at their hotel, then this is probaby not the best place to go. If you prefer to just lie in bed in anguish at the vibration and noise, adding to the nuasea induced by the stench, then you've found it. Otherwise, you would do better to find a dumpster to sleep in.
