“Spartan but good bargin”

Interesting hotel located in the center of Deira. Room was very spacious. Bed was big and comfortable. Airconditioning was very cold when needed which was good because it can get inferno hot outside. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and all spoke english. There are not one but two night clubs occupying the lower floors and the sound is unbelieably high. Stay only on the 4-5th floors or you will never get any sleep. I stayed on the 5th floor and never heard a noise. Taxis are near impossible to get from 12-3PM. Great shopping right outside hotel. Nassar square is about a block down from hotel and it is extremely busy 24-7. I would stay again if I stayed in Deira again. Go to Jumeira market, mall of the Emirates(you can snow ski inside mall), Dubai museum, and sailboat looking building and have dinner at the top floor restaurant. Food is good, views are spectacular and the prices are reasonable.

As a frequent traveler to Dubai I think this is the best hotel for budget travelers. Rooms are good and clean with all the amenities. Nightlife has a beautiful taste with Ramee International. I recently went with one of my friends from university to Dubai and ofcourse being at university meant we wernt exactly millionnaires!!. but we found this hotel very reasonable. with sattelite tv,dvd player, your own fridge and in a PERFECT location to see dubai i do not regret it one bit.

You get what you pay for. This was the second cheapest hotel I found on expedia. The biggest problem I had was the lack of hotel parking(which results in many hours, literally, searching for parking and dealing with the insane traffic). Another little thing that bothered me was when I asked for the rate of an international call, the operator just said "what is the number?" This of course was to simply make me pay the insane phone fee, but a little customer service would have been nice. The central cooling of the hotel was inconsistent, often times too hot.

Rooms are stuffy and old setting. Could do with a bit of colour and modernisation. The night clubs at the bottom floors tend to keep one up during the night. Very good food though, in the indian restaurant. Very well located.

The room was okay but the rest of the hotel was pretty dingy. There was loud music pumping from the 'discos' on the top floor. The price wasn't bad but I won't stay there again. It is worth paying a little bit extra for a nicer Dubai hotel. I won't go budget in Dubai again.

“Avoid”

Beware! There are nightculbs in this hotel that go until 3am, with no possibility of sleep. It is also massively overpriced. Bathroom was in very poorly maintained condition. Room was huge, but the noise overwhelms everything. On the plus side, the staff was very kind and helpful under stressful circumstances (there aren't enough staff at reception for the client load). Good location also. But the noise!
