“Excellent value and location to Dubai Creek.”

No negatives, value for money and service and easy walking distance to Creek and to Dubai Big Bus stop. It served us all very well.Thank you, would definitely recommend and stay again.

“Affordable gem”

I chose the Deira because several other single women travelers indicated they felt safe there. And I heartily agree! The kind staff even accomodated me with early check in (9 am vs. 3 pm) so I could go ahead and experience the city. Clean, spacious room - kitchenette with plates and utensils, nice bathroom - I wanted to take a bath. Bed was firm and I enjoyed it, so it was probably too firm for most others. I was only there one night, but would have stayed longer. It was a nice walk to the Souks and the Creek, though I am a walker. The neighborhood was not particularly attractive, but much of Dubai was under construction when I was there. There is also not much for retail around the hotel. But if you are looking for affordable, clean accomodations and don't need high end amenities, you likely won't be disappointed.

“Fabulous experience”

Residence Deira was perfect for us. We took our two young children for a weekend in Dubai, and loved all the room we had. The kitchen was quite large and very helpful, though a microwave would have been more convenient (there was only a regular oven). The pull-out couch bed was perfect for our son, and there was plenty of room for our Daughter's travel crib. The rooms were not fancy, but they were clean. Some of the decorations were old, but I think they were in a process of renovating. The location can't be beat: 1 block from the creek, and a block from the Union metro station, walking distance to many of Dubai's suqs. Parking was non-existent, but they were very kind to feed the meter while you parked on a quiet side street parking lot. There weren't many amenities, but I understand you can use the pool, gym, etc. of the Le Meridien down the road. The price was unbelievably low, and all told we will definitely stay there the next time we are in Dubai.

“Nice Stay in Dubai!”

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Residence Deira. The room was clean and spacious. There was a constant supply of hot water while taking a shower. Management dealt with issues promptly and professionally. The hotel is within walking distance to the Union metro station where you can go to downtown Dubai and the Mall of Emirates. The kitchen had enough equipment to cook meals and there is a grocery store nearby that is open 24 hours. My only issues were that there was no WIFI in the rooms and the TV screen kept of flickering on and off but management stated it was due to the cable reception and not to any fault of the hotel.

“Diera's Best Budget Hotel”

The Hotel was fantastic - The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was clean. tidy and quite big for two people. The photos shown on expedia exactly matched the rooms of the hotel. On expedia its rated as a two star hotel but I think it warrants a 3 star. Its a little more than basic but less than "really nice". Its simple,comfortable and nice. Which is all we needed. They cleaned the rooms everyday and bring a newspaper. I asked for an extra pillow and two extra blankets and they gave it immediately. The hotel is also located in a brilliant area. It is a mins walk from Union Metro Station and down the road is the town where all the shops and resturants are. Can't rate this hotel enough. Its a good stay!

“Home sweet home”

I stayed in of of their studios for 9 nights. Fully furnished and equipped as promised. The pictures on their website ARE a trustworthy reference. Comfortable, clean and the 2 stars rating is merely due to the fact that it is a residence hotel that offers none of the superfluous perks a 3 or 4 stars hotel boasts of (on site restaurants, gift shops...). Ideal people looking for a "at home in dubai" experience on a budget. Convenient 24h supermarket, post office and any kind of shops close by, Union station metro one block away and it's very easy to pick up taxis on the Al Makartoum road. Nice lively and cosmopolitan neighbourghood, not the posh jet-setters crowd in those streets but a more authentic one. The staff is polite and non-intrusive and the hotel is couple-friendly and just-"friends"-friendly. We reserved a studio for one person and added an other one at check-in, no problem with that either. Only one computer for the guests with internet in the lobby, 15 dhm for 15 minutes (but free if you use it less than 5 minutes), no wifi in the rooms might be the only downfall, although the computer is pretty much free all the time. Would definitly stay again at that hotel.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. The staff was very pleasing. Room was very welcoming. Very Neat. Best type of hotel if you are out most of the time and need a good place to head back and rest
