“Great Hotel in Dubai!!!”
Going to Dubai on a business trip April 2011 I had thousands of hotels to choose from, but I still wanted to go to a Shangri-La because I know exactly what a great stay and service I get there. The location is great if you for example want to combine Deira gold soukh and city centre mall, karama etc with the Dubai Mall and fountain area. This hotel also has one of the best clubs in town; the Ikandy, with a friendly staff, they serve snack food and shisha, blended with lounge style music from a DJ. Remember dress code, many rich locals drop by here. The pool is also so great with a beautiful view of the mighty Burj Khalifa. If you are up for some more luxury book the Club Horizon and you can swim almost on the top floor, and there is a secret spot on top with a few sunbeds around 300m above the ground. The view of the city at night up here is simply amazing!

Our stay in Shangri La was satisfying overall, the hotel had what you would expect from a good quality 4 star hotel. Clean rooms and good service. Our friends had their anniversery during the trip, the hotel arranged a complimentary cake at very short notice, that in view is top notch service. There are a few cafe's near the hotel too, and a short drive will take you to many of the best malls and attractions Dubai has to offer. My only negative comment was that the hotel was located near an intersection that is undergoing major work.
