“Great hotel in a great location”

The Villa Rotana is a small hotel within walking distance to two metro stations. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Close to the hotel are two supermarkets. My single room had a small kitchen area. The breakfast buffet was very good, slight changes in the food selection each day. The Rotana chain is an alcohol free chain, so no bar. I would stay here again on my next trip to Dubai. The hotel staff was wonderful!

“Villa Rotana Rocks”

Thats what my kids said! We loved our stay at Villa Rotana.Its location and size were ideal. And our accomodation was great. The best part was the attitude of the staff...polite efficient and knowledgable. We are surprised to actually have no complaint at all.

“Nice place to stay”

We stayed at the Villa Rotana Suites on our 1st ever trip to Dubia, mainly because we thought the beach was close, it was'nt walking distance, although we did one day and it took us 50 mins. The taxis we used were cheap enough to travel around but we would have liked to be nearer places rather than keep getting in taxis. Our stay at Villa Rotana was faultless apart from there being no bar, but that did'nt spoil our trip. We will visit again soon.

“Exceeded Expectations”

This hotel provided such outstanding front desk service that we found ourselves talking about it, and took the time to compliment several staffers to the hotel management. The place was clean, new, modern, with only a simple, but good, restaurant facility, but well placed in the city opposite the tallest building in the world and halfway between the Dubai Creek and the Mall of the Emirates. It was very comfortable, with a large king bed room, roof pool, gym and spa. We would not bother to consider an alternate in Dubai till we could afford the Burj al Arab!

“Very Impressed”

This is a great hotel that is more like a 4 or 5 star rather than the 3 star it has been given. Some advice would be to take the hotel shuttle rather than a cab. It will likely work out cheaper. If you're going to get a cab, make sure it's a real taxi with a meter, or they will rip you off. Better to see the Rotana desk inside for their own transport. Anyway, the hotel was very nice with friendly staff and clean rooms. We had to make do with a smoking room, which they offered to clean if it smelled, but there was no smell at all so it was fine. The included breakfast buffet was very nice, although pork lovers will be disappointed as there is no pork bacon or sausages. The in room minibars do not have alcohol so get some from the duty free at the airport if desired. There was a plastic corkscrew for wine but it was so flimsy we broke two of them. The pool bar on the roof also does not serve alcohol. The location of the hotel is fairly central but you'll need to get taxis for transport. Mall of the Emirates is about 15mins one way, and bur dubai about 10mins the other way. This isn't a problem as there was nearly always a taxi outside or reception would call one for us. I would be only too happy to stay here again on my next visit to Dubai, although I would bring my own wine bottle opener!

“Going back often”

I go to Dubai every 3-4 months on business. My company puts me up in the 5-star hotels next to Dubai Mall. But when I want to spend a few days on my own dime, this is the place for me - close enough to be convenient, and even better since the Business Bay Metro station opened, priced right, great breakfast, great staff service, clean & modern, and right next door to a big grocery store & pharmacy for all the essentials we want to pick up. This last visit (Oct, 2010) I accidently left my laptop in the room when I checked out. Within 30 minutes, the housekeeper had found it and the front desk called me to make arrangements to get it back to me. It was held securely at the front desk until I could pick it up later. They were ready to run it to the airport to catch me before a flight, if I had needed that. They've got my loyalty!

The hotel is reasonably priced and conveniently located next to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. It is also within walking distance from a metro station. The food is great and staff are very friendly and helpful.

“The best hotel we have visited to date.”

As frequent visitors to Dubai my family and I usually try different hotels each time to contrast and compare: we shall not next year but instead stay once again at the Villa Rotana. A clean, quiet and well run hotel the quality exudes from the staff, some of the very best we have experienced from all our visits to Dubai. One in particular, Anas, was outstanding and typically perhaps in Dubai he is worth his "weight in gold". The hotel is very convenient to the new metro system that proved to be the most comfortable and cheapest way to get to most of our destinations. Should you decide to use this hotel, trust me you will not be disappointed.

“My all time new Dubai favourie”

This is my all - time favourite hotel in Dubai now. The staff and facilities are excellent, the rooms airy and bright, the gym and pool on the roof brilliant and it is in a great position for getting about. I have been to lots of hotels in Dubai because I live in the UAE, but now I refuse to go anywhere else but the Villa Rotana. But I want to keep it a secret........

I chose villa rotana on the recommendation of my friend who had stayed there before. i also saw the reviews on the site before finally booking on expedia --- pay for 3 and get 4 days for the suite. it is a wonderful place, great location, quiet and not noisy --- only the view from the rooms is not so great. the room service is top class and good quality of food too. recommend this place to everyone and will surely go back there when ever i get a chance
